    Wal mart has a really good folding saw for $9.99. It's a little smaller thab the one you show, but it works extremely well! So much so, my wife stole my test saw for her garden work, and I had to get another one. Now, I have them in all our bags...

      George Mcmillan in my opinion the only good survival gear at my Walmart is the sabercut saw and the ozark trail 1 dollar eating set with one plastic knife fork and spoon and they are easy to clean the rest of my stuff is from amazon but my knife is from my grandpa also give me some ideas for bugout items

    I have one suggestion. You need to show individual item pricing in your descriptions. This would probably save time for some people who only want certain items . I realize you have listed all the links for each item but there may be those that do not want to click on every link to find the price. I was very impressed with the fact that you did list each item and provided the link. I really liked that. Cool video.

    I would add Razor Blades, a pair of socks and a pack of non-lubricated condoms. The condoms can be used as water storage containers, (can hold about a liter of water) and the socks can be used to hold them so that they don't break. As for the Razor Blades they are very useful for real fine detailed work. I would also add a small bottle of Gorilla Glue. This is useful for making a lot of things like arrows and speaks to name a few. And a question, did they ever add the Bailing wire to the BOSS Water kit?

    • @DropForgedSurvival
      @DropForgedSurvival  7 років тому

      Those are not bad items for a kit. But we are looking for "gear" suggestions to bring to the channel and test out that "my viewers" feel should have a shot at being added to our most recommended list in future episodes.

    Thanks a lot!!! Great video…content, resolution and editing. I appreciate that you test the gear and equipment that you recommend. That you do so saves us a lot of time, money and headache.
    It’s extremely useful that in the video’s description you list the items that you covered, and include links to them. There are too many times when after viewing a video, I must go back through it or pause it while viewing it to get the name of an item being covered.
    One suggestion: When you list the items that you covered with their links in the description, add the video’s time-stamp that corresponds with each one. That way if your viewers want to go back and check it out after they’ve viewed it (or as a preview), they don’t have to do a hunt-and-peck scan for it.
    Thanks again for taking the time put out quality information that is concise, practical and relevant. You’re doing a great service.
    Subscribing now.

      DropForgedSurvival Absolutely, I actually found your channel from your one BOB that has the integrated solar panel and power bank (the Ghostek NRG Camper)...that inspired me to build a similar bag...I’m fairly new to prepping and such, but have been a long time hunter and shooter, and that got me thinking to start prepping for my wife and I, just in case! I subbed to your channel, it’s extremely helpful, as I try to source as much as I can off Amazon Prime, especially with 5% cash back.

      @DropForgedSurvival  7 років тому +1

      @traxxasbro5604 7 років тому

      DropForgedSurvival Thanks a lot for your responses, I really appreciate that. Just a quick question, do you have any videos covering firearm load outs for your BOBs? I’m in the process of researching that topic, and trying to figure out the optimal plan, as I’d assume there’s a point of diminishing returns with carrying an abundance of ammo and/weapons.
      I have several different styles of firearms, but I’d love your input. I was thinking of taking my AR15, since it’s so versatile, but I’m afraid of it being overpowered for small game hunting like squirrels, rabbits, etc. Should I have my wife also theoretically carry our AR style .22LR rifle for small game? Thanks so much in advance!

    I have read a couple of Dave Canterbury's books. The typos in spelling and basic grammar made them hard to read. I have taken a couple of his courses, and I really liked his early videos. He kinda let fame go to his head and then went all frontiersman.
