We got really lucky then. From Fort Worth and we had our Spring Break the week before and we had a lovely time staying in Gatlinburg. Loved the aquarium. Enjoyed tubing and ice skating at Ober Gatlinburg.
I know everyone loves the Smokies, they are literally my heart. But people need to stay at home. It's just not worth it. I'd much rather lose a reservation, a weekend, rather than lose my life over this. You can carry the germ and not even know it. And if people dont stay in, we'll never stop the spread. Our beautiful Smokies are not going anywhere. please take care yourself and stay home. Don't stay home just because some things are closed, stay home because it's the right thing to do. I don't want any of my friends on here to suffer the wrath of this horrible monster. As soon as this dies down, everything can get bac k to normal. And it'll be wonderful. we have a cabin booked for first week in June near Townsend in Wear Valley. Still planning on coming down there from Missouri. I know the visitor centers are all closed right now but should still be able to see the mountain views and we are planning on buying our own food and grilling at the cabin. Hoping things are better by June for the businesses. Stay safe.

Redbud not Dogwood trees are blooming in TN. Trees currently blooming in TN. Are flowering cherry trees, Tulip magnolia, plum trees and wild plum trees and Mountain Sarvis trees are blooming in TN. now. The Dog wood trees usually bloom In TN. mid April thru middle of May in TN.

I've never been to The Island and didn't realize you could drive right up to it. Thanks for the driving tour. :) Staying home and hopefully staying healthy. Here in PA, all non life sustaining businesses are mandated to close as of 8pm last night and will be enforced by police starting at midnight tonight. All restaurants are drive thru or take out only.

I already had to push my vacation forward three weeks… And now having to cancel it altogether is killing me. We haven’t missed a year for six years for our anniversary vacation and for the first time are being forced to cancel. I needed a break but not like this. People are losing their jobs where I live left and right. I was one of the first to get laid off. I wish people would chill and just do everything they can to help this go over quickly which means staying home!!!

They finally closed the beaches here in South Alabama. I couldn’t believe all the people from up North continuously coming here for spring break when we’ve got a health crisis going on.
Roxie Our Puppy Dog we love it too. I’m originally from the Huntington WV area (South Point to be exact). We moved to Nashville in 2017 and then jobs led us to Naples , Fl now and we usually try to get to the Smokies once or twice a year. I just hope we get to go this year. Our cabin is calling us! Lol
