You just don’t know how true this is. I have seen more ASVAB waivers in the last year then you could believe. Not very easy to teach them how to operate equipment
I got up, and I got out. Spent my last few years working with senior officers and NCOs in a Joint and then an Acquisitions command. Prior to that I'd been a Drill Sergeant and saw the quality we were getting even in 2016-2018. Some kids had great potential, others were virtually guaranteed to become outstanding leaders one day, but still others were mouth breathers who were physically tough and willing to execute anything, even if it was the dumbest mission ever. "PVT Lowiq, we're flanked and outnumbered. I need you to give SPC Hisped your M249, take the Medic's pistol, and run up that hill to take out their machinegun." "Roger, Sarge, I got this...". Six months later, PVT Lowiq is on stage receiving his Medal of Honor because he was too stupid to die. Meanwhile, I caught a splinter in the groin, it got infected, and I'm now living that best LT Dan life. Fictional story, by the way, but I have my lovely DD-214, my retirement, and my disability rating. These new Soldiers should have no problem in Russia, Ukraine, and the ME.
I really wish the concerns for WW3 were really only a joke. I did my time already, in fact this year is my 10 year dd-214 anniversary. But I have younger brothers and 2 nephews who will be 18 soon.
My biggest fear when going in is to fall for a bs joke. All the military people in my family have prepared me for that type of stuff, so I'm confident I'll spot a joke from a mile away, but I just KNOW I'll fall for something eventually and all of my family will just facepalm and disown me lmao.
I got lucky when they tried that one time as I already heard. They got one guy to get an exhaust same with a garbage bag, I would have fell for that one. I am not a mechanic.... like really not mechanically inclined.
@nexusdrop7863 lmao oh yeah. It seems the gas sample one is very popular. Almost everyone in my family was told to do that. Half my problem is I'm very non-confrontational. So I may know I'm being pranked, but I'll probably still do it just so I don't start any arguments lol. There's a good 80% change I'll take the trash bag and go get a 'sample' depending on how much I like my CO.
No your worst fear is to go to a woke class or some kinda sharp training that last hrs and you're not allowed to sleep or leave. That's what you should fear.
@@liahnotleah Personally I would assume they are being sincere if they told me to do. 'Go find X' and off I went. I would have to know about it in advance to avoid it. Most of the jokes are funny, some can be mean. I am against mean ones.
Yes the video is kind of funny. But in the real world. If that’s our army. God help us all. As a veteran I think I would feel safer with a bunch of old soldiers from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s.most of us are broken.
I scored the bare minimum 😂 and became a 12B trained at fort lost in the woods shipped to Korea then to Texas for the remainder of my time till I got my dd214 and sped off base 😂
How do you score in the 30's? I'm actually curious. When I took it half the AZVAB was math/language/writing questions, and the other half was tech/shop/mechanical questions. How can someone be bad at every section? Almost every person I met who got in had over a high 50's score.
Where can I pick up one of those sweet Blue Falcon patches. After the commands that I've been attached to, it seems much more appropriate as a combat patch.
10 years from now that Private will be a Staff Sergeant with a GED, 3 kids, 2 divorces, and more deployments than most of the other Staff Sergeants in his unit.
@@Holykraut Don’t know if you’ve been paying attention to the news but we still have troops in combat environments, things have been pretty spicy for them since things with Israel and Hamas plus Yemen ramped up a few months back, we just had 3 people killed in action about a month ago.
Correct me of I'm wrong and don't understand, but how is berating someone for having a low IQ gonna help them? I've seen guys who weren't the brightest but still worked hard everyday, most of all they always finished their work which is all that was ever expected of them
As a made man in the E-4 Mafia, I must declare that there's 'Answered in all Cs' privates exactly like that in every MOS and been that way since the revolutionary war when privates were punked into fetching emissions test sacks for horse drawn cannon mounts.
Why do I keep laughing at “The Army” name tapes? 😹
They nail the minor details. Always.
@@nexusdrop7863 appreciate that!
Because it’s genius.
Hey you got it. Military brat here.
It's painful how accurate this is.

Do new recruits really not need a high school diploma or GED to join?
@@TheTypeofGuy-pb2ui ask a recruiter.. I just teach them after they leave basic
@@TheTypeofGuy-pb2ui it's not true, you need at LEAST a GED to enlist
Lmfo 😂 I’m so glad I’m out.

It'd been a while since you guy's uploaded a video. Thank G-d you're OK. Scary as the world has become at least you're able to make light of it.
Other pursuits took our attention away. But we’re back :)

This is gold
Well, we’re 0-2 in the 21st century wars so far, so it doesn’t surprise me.
This is similar to an engine that has a dip stick with one damn last drop of oil on it, yet the engine is still operating.
They fixed that with longer dip sticks.
