"OEM, which stands for three letters" See, this is why I follow this channel. The educational level here is second to none and every video is stuffed with invaluable information. 😆

This must be the best T-shirt you wore so far! My favourite fashion youtube channel!
(your gear reviews are also pretty good)

A concise and honest review which gets to the point without long winded explanation. Also great shirts

Man I got this unit for gigs, I have been using pedalboards all my life, I love the flamma, the twin deluxe and the soldando are really good, you cannot tell the difference, ( there’s an actual comparison) plus the plexi is pretty good! You just have to tweak it a little bit! I went straight to my own presets and they sound great live. Big bang for buck.

The touchscreen really is a huge selling point for something like this. It's sooo much simpler. I don't know if I'm just really dumb, but when I have to navigate those kinds of menus with only a knob/buttons I get lost easily. I've been eyeballing the Headrush MX5 for this sort of thing (no gigs, just for portability when I'm visiting family etc. mostly only used with headphones). But these options seem even more affordable. I'd be curious to see this one compared to the Headrush, since they're within $50 on amazon. My only complaint about all of these (including the headrush) is that I pretty much never use an expression pedal for anything ever, so it really just adds a significant amount to the width of these little units (and probably some cost). I think it would be way better if it just had an expression input for those who would want that. Or even an optional little matching expression pedal as an accessory if they really wanted to make their own.

But... I put my guitar cables in the gig bag. Does the unit fit in the gig bag with a cable?
I'm kidding, I'm still a pedal user after being into modellers from the start of my musical endeavors, since 2000's. It's really fun to see how tech has advanced since i bought my Pod HD Pro in early 2010's. Before that I used a Boss GT-8. But in the end, I needed pedals on a pedalboard, because with modellers I was always tweaking sounds more than playing. But now that I've got much more tonal references, a little modeller like this could at least be a studio thing to quickly set up and record demos. Right now I've got the Boss IR-200 as amp, but I take it off the board when I'm in the rehearsal room. Maybe it should live on my studio table... 🤔

Strange... in the intro when you were discussing other modellers in the same price range, you made no mention of the excellent Valeton GP-200. I'm guessing the GP-200 would be the most popular in this class at the moment!

    Subbed.
Do you believe that this sound better than the H.Benton? Do you believe that the Line6 sounds better than this one? (p.s.: ok you said at the end).
The tuner of this one can go to 432Hz?
    Thanx!
p.s.: so it can be used as four switch to four presets, I believe you said not but then you accidentally do it, right?
    thanx

Why am i watching this, i don't even want any of these huge Multifx-Units.
But it's probably a good purchase if you don't have much gear yet or if you want to shrink your setup.

Think I'll stick to my pedal board.

    • @nedim_guitar
      @nedim_guitar Рік тому

Me too, but the reasons for that are that 1) my options are much more limited, so there's no option paralysis, and 2) I like the immediacy of physically interacting with pedals, and even experimenting on the fly as I go along, going into self oscillation with delays and stuff like that. I wouldn't mind using a modeller like this at least for recording demos. I did that with my old Line 6 Pod HD Pro and my older Boss GT-8, but my problem was that I was always searching for The Tone and I also didn't really have that many references regarding tone of amps and pedals and how they interact, so I was never really satisfied with the tones and presets I got from the Pod HD Pro. With pedals, the workflow is so much faster, though I do use a loop switcher, giving me presets, the very thing I wanted to get away from with modellers. Go figure! On the other hand, I'm working first with the pedals I've got, and if a song requires several pedals be changed at once, then I program a loop for it. On a modeller, I always overloaded my chain with all the effects I could fit, and then I decided how and when to use them. Basically, a modeller would work much better for me now that I've used a pedalboard for a while. But I do love pedals!

@@nedim_guitar I actually read all that lol. Same with me regarding option paralysis plus if an owners manual is more than two pages long, I'm out. Lol

No D.I. Box required with the pod go! The output accepts balanced ND unbalanced TRS outs you can drive that thing straight into a mixer the pod go does not need a D.I. !!!
