    Bo Nix day one starter. No question

      I would hope he was better than Zach and stiddy

      @@Tampa2wo What I'm hearing is that Stiddy has a small lead atm, primarily because it's his second year in the system and he's more familiar with it. How that plays out once training camp starts remains to be seen. But I'm hopeful. And let's remember, we've not yet seen Bo playing against an NFL defense. There is bound to be some issues there due to the learning curve, but this QB may be the best QB we've ever drafted and may be a franchise guy. Maybe.

      You sound uninformed. He might be the day 1 starter, but Stiddy has been taking them most first team reps. He is the current starter, in place for Bo to beat out when he is ready.
      This is for the best imo, we dont need to put him out before he is ready.

    Coaches left speechless? I love the Broncos but it’s going to be a rough year. I do believe we are finally moving in the right direction.

    When Phil Simms watched Nix he said he never thought his arm strength would be a problem in the NFL. He doesn't have a super arm but how far did a great arm get Zach Wilson? NFL history is littered with guys that had great arm talent but wren't good QBs. Anybody remeber Jay Schroeder? Super strong arm but dumb as a box of rocks. Nix has an unique combination of decent arm, super fast processing, and accuracy. Understanding what the offense is trying to do AND what the defense is trying to do, quickly, is critical. There is a reason Nix was sacked so infrequently, and it is not just that he threw cheeckdowns. Having gone through so many OCs in college taught him how to learn new offenses quickly. I think his mental ability gives him an advantage in the competition for QB1.

    Optimistic but unrealistic talk in this chat. A lot of question marks with this offensive. If the line struggles. You're not gonna want your rookie qb out there getting his confidence destroyed week in and week out. Like another first round qb on this roster (Z. Wilson). Oregon QB don't have a good track record of transitioning to the NFL. I say take it slow. The division is tough. I want to see Nix play well. Sit em for at least 6 weeks.
    Estime, probably not gonna have a breakout rookie season. That norte dame offensiveline had him running through giant holes that won't be there is this offensive. Unless the downfield pass game is extremely threatening. Don't expect him to take too many carries away from a healthy Williams. His size is intriguing, but he isn't the next Derrick Henry imo.
    Be dope if he is, though.

    I suggest the best thing is to start Bo Nix week one at Seattle. I believe Bo NIx will surpass what CJ Stroud did last season. He should be ROY. He has a number of great weapons to utilize. They MUST run the ball well and play great defense, primarily against the run.

  • @mazzlefrass3333
    @mazzlefrass3333 5 днів тому +1

    Sean P will not start Nix if he does not want to. So much depends upon what Sean has been given for a leash. I believe this is another transitional season. Tim coming back is potentially big, but loosing Simmons and Jewell is tough. I like the additions on the D line. Bonitto is ephemeral - very nice speed for third and long but no good in run.

  • @danmadden9917

    Nix will be the starter the whole season. Remember John Elway?
    He started day one, the same for Bo Nix. Denver hasn't had a really big quarterback name for a while Jay Cutler probably being the last big name but it makes sense to start him right out the gate and as the weeks go he will get better and better.

    • @jwalkerC21
      @jwalkerC21 6 днів тому

      I remember and we did not have a good offensive line and John had to run around for his life and still make plays. All that escaping gave him great experience evading the defense for later seasons.
      hopefully, BO will have a better offensive line.

      Not that I think he was the guy he was a few years back anymore, but I'd say Russell Wilson is a bigger name than Jay Cutler ever was.

    For a team whose depth chart doesn't jump off the board, I think the only way they can establish an identity this year is becoming an extremely physical football team on defense and run the shit out of the football. We need 30+ carries per game. We have the physical runners to wear down defenses. We don't have the most talent but we can be the toughest. Control the clock in every single game and make teams earn a victory against us.

    Bo can run any offense, you throw at him, without blinking an eye. He can quickly disect defenses like an offensive coordinator. On top of that hes obsessed with getting better. He is his own critic. He will start day one i believe. Many compare him to drew brees, but compare him more to Brett Favre.
