As a Charger fan for 56 years, I learned that after coach Marty era is not to keep my expectations high. But with coach Harbaugh, hope is slowly creeping back. My best case scenario is 11-6. Worst case scenario is 6-11. ⚡️⚡️
LOL. I hated it when the Chargers played not to loose rather than playing to win. I had season tickets off and on from 1998 until 2009. (About 6 seasons) The one thing I always asked when they were winning toward the end of the game was, "How are they going to mess this up?" I wasn't trying to be funny, I just saw them loose so many games in the last few minutes that I never wanted to get my hopes up. If there was a way to loose, they would figure it out. I'm a big Harbaugh, Michigan fan and I truly believe he will make us better.

Honestly as a chargers fan with our schedule I think best is 13-4 and worst I think is 8-9
I’m right there with you as I’ve been a fan for 53 years. Remember rooting for Johnny U! Anyway, I have to be realistic and figure the best they can do this year will be a winning season. Maybe the playoffs, but not much more than that. Why? New team. Mistakes will be made. Those mistakes will cost wins, but they will come back from this season and when the 25-26 season is here, yeah, all bets are off. The Bolts could be the last man standing!
Chargers will go 9-8 this year.
My guess is around 9-8 to 10-7...
But it wouldn't surprise me if they go 8-9 but are a team very difficult squad to.play and blossom next year.
I have 'em going 20-0.....deeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppp into the playoffs culminating with a trip to New Orleans' Superdome and a World Championship.
I'm thinking 11--6 and they reach the divisional round of the playoffs

I think 12-5 is a decent prediction. Honestly bros, with that schedule, no reason we can’t contend for the division if we manage to beat the chief just once ⚡️
It is the height of masochism to keep being a charger fan. If ever there was a metric for heartbreak loses, i am certain we own the record. Ive gotten to the point to extract max enjoyment watching a game for 3 quarters then spend the 4th quarter doing something mindless like yardwork or fixing the garage. But i did rejoice in the win over the chiefs in 2016... The pattern of false hope then predictable collapse has been so pervasive since after '94. Even the bolts D performs so much better on the first 2 downs then gives up a 3rd and long.... this season I'm resolving to not be jaded. Let the misery stats reset. May Coryell's brilliance be manifest again in Harbaugh. I like what he did with the niners. May the bolts over perform week in and week out. play loose. Play with swagger. And have a blast.
I understand you completely I actually felt the collapse coming against the jaguars in that playoff come back from them I could tell just from the first have I didn't even watch the game after halftime, I just need they were going to blow it ,I saw deeper inside the game you could just tell , to long to explain , I've been a Charger fan since I was 7 this year will be 51years ,no other fan in sports have had there heart broken more then Charger fans.
Broncos might get them. Bo Nix is going to be better than people think. They should beat the Cardinals EASILY, Saints (unless Taysom Hill is playing QB), Browns and Titans (probably).
10-7 and hopefully a playoff win round one. That would be exciting. For me, 10 is the floor if they stay healthy.

No proven wide receivers, and offensive line that is unproven, can they stop the run? The odds of all three of these critical elements being positive is not high. Could make for an average record.
Only team I see us losing to is ravens and chiefs once, the rest do teams we face are winnable. We can go 15-2 but I know that won’t happen so I’ll say 14-3 ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Gardner Minshew is starting and that game is a lot more likely to be a loss than you might think. I think the Steelers are MUCH more likely to be a win than the Raiders. Minshew is WAY better than people tend to give him credit for.

This schedule is also kinda easy compared to the schedules we have been having

we always tend to think we beat the teams we think we r better than hence the titans and dolphins last year we went 0-2 and majority had us going 2-0 .lets not be to optimistic injuries do happen so i expect at least 0-16 the most.

10-7 or 9-8 AFC West sweep the broncos, split with the Raiders, and maybe split with the chiefs. Im a michigan fan the bolts are going to be in most games. Weakest position group is the WR's, which will not hurt the team much cause that was the same for Michigan. Success will come in the trenches offensively and defensively. The raiders and bolts have upgraded the trenches, the chiefs are the same and the broncos still needs help. The bolts will beat up teams week in the trenches.

Chargers prediction 5-12
You're definitely not a Charger's fan
Should beat the Chiefs again, destroy Tampa, Broncos toss-up, beat the Patriots and another toss-up with the Raiders. Chargers have a GREAT chance at getting to the Super Bowl.
I would keep the Cardinals game as a W, switch the Titans game to an L, the Ravens a W, the falcons an L, and the week 18 vs. the Raiders as an L. My prediction for the 2024 Chargers is an 11-6 record with a floor of 8-9 and a ceiling of 12-5. You never know with the Chargers but I think this new coaching staff will really bring the best out of them this year.
Id say 0-17 Justin is throwing the bums until proven otherwise the receiver they got for him hasn't even taken one snap in the NFL and everyone saying how great he is... then we went out and got a mediocre running back, to replace our mediocre running back, should have just kept our mediocre running back we had in the first place.. rip this season
1 and 4 at the bye, hopefully harbaugh knows enough about the team to right the ship, maybe 0-5 at the bye, don’t expect much this year, best season we could hope for is 9-8, and don’t sleep on the raiders
We sweeping the division this year
As someone who has absolutely no bias for or against the Chargers as a Commanders fan, I see a 9-8 season for you guys this year. Offense isn’t great but Herbert is and I think it’ll be a run heavy scheme with Greg Roman. Defense will probably keep you in most games, but still struggle against the powerhouse offenses.

Harbaugh is not a magician and this team has holes at wide receiver and in the defensive backfield. The Chargers have to prove they have improved before jumping on the bandwagon. A 10 -7 record would be a tremendous improvement.
For real. I love harbaugh as our coach but some of these fans need to temper their year one expectations. If we get 10-11 wins it is an amazing season. It will take us 2-3 years to compete for deep playoff runs
I don't see them going undefeated. But I do see them winning the AFC west division.
