Thank you for taking the time to put the detail list together. I know it has saved me a tremendous amount of time and expense on myC10 LS swap. Thanks again!
Factory powersteering hoses work. Just need the o.ring adapter fitting to go into pump and screw factory hose into that. If you don’t want to use AN setup.
TY! I would not have even known that pump adapter existed if not for this video!! Its a very very useful for any swap using a type II pump! I'll be using a nut and flare tool to adapt my YJ hose to 6an.
liked and subscribed! Im doing an LS swap on a 1950 Thriftmaster and Im getting ready to create the hoses for the power steering rack. Thanks for listing all the parts used and making this vid so clear !
To everyone watching this, be sure to install your inverted brass ferrules into the steering box before you start ! We’ve all done it before , when you’ve see two pieces laying on the shop bench ;);) damnit lol
Hey Paul, at 4:30 you said installing that return with the AN hose clamp was hard. You're right! How did you get it on? Did you drill out the hose a little to make room or just kept muscling it? I know you sold the truck man. You're a better man than me! Thanks for a followup.
great information, Thank you. One question! The pressure hose, how much slack for expansion does one have to leave. I have a 54 Chevy truck. With a V8, and the front suspension from a 1987 C 10. I pieced together a hose so I could go to Hydraulic supply.
Greeting Paul thank you these video. You give us inspiration and guidance on our projects. I am hoping to start on c10 as soon as I’m down with our family JK Jeep Wrangler. Any chance I can get your to do list? I have stored every one of your videos with the idea that I will make notes, purchase the items and hopefully complete my project.

C10 is coming along really nice keep up the good progress man keep those videos coming too
Good info I’ll be using AN lines on my 2wd k5 build as well, keep up the great content!
wtf is earl smoking… he was $50 per AN fitting now. I swore it was like $15 back when this video came out 🤣
Doing mine with evil energy line and fittings..have trans and fuel lines with their products and haven't had any faulty or trash quality items

Yea I drilled it out and put some of the assembly lube on it. Still had to muscle it up with all that.
Thank you so much for this! I'm swapping to a hydroboost unit in my Vette, and the fittings you linked are going to save me a good bit of time. Sub'd
Awesome, glad it helped!
holy shit at 4:50 i thought that return line was gonna SNAP at the back of the pump

Do you have a part number for the pump you used? I purchased the box but not sure what pump you have
I have part number 961961ERL but it's not even close to fitting into ls power steering reservoir , am I missing something?
Did you have any issues with the aluminum AN hose ends on the high pressure side?
Those are steel fittings for high pressure

Do you have list or detailed video on how and where did you mount your ac compressor and power steering pump to your LS?
Power steering is in the stock location and I’m not running an AC compressor
Do you notice light steering with the LS pump? I thought I read somewhere that the LS was higher pressure and gave light steering
Everything feels fine to me. I also never ran this steering gear with anything other than the LS pump.
Hi.. I got a question what to do with the engine oil cooler... I have not seeing any videos on c10 ls swap...
Are you trying to delete it?
I really don't know what to do.. what you suggest?
I don’t run a cooler
Just plug them.. that's what you doing?
There’s a block off plate
where did you buy the power steering? or is it the original ????
CPP
Grease them AN threads and cones before assembly.
The power steering is the original Chevrolet or did you buy it ??? why buy part 961961ERL and it is not the same
It is not the Chevrolet box, it’s the CPP quick ratio unit. Link is in description.
👍😊
What's your pressure rating on your line?
2250psi rated operating pressure
Do you have the part number for the steering box?
vic k Summit Racing part # CLP-CP50014
@@paulkc10Just ordered it, thanks.
Don't know why, but for some reason AN fittings have always confused me
doing a 6.0 swap in my 68 c10 what do i need to get power steering?
Power steering gear. I used the CPP quick ratio steering gear.
