I don't have an allotment and have only a passing interest in gardening, but I love this channel! This girl is so sweet and funny and smart and it's so great to see a woman who wants to work!
Hello Emma, I absolutely love to see how happy you are digging the potatoes. The fruitful success of the effort put into the growing of the potatoes. Good on ya love take a bow! In the US the smallest potatoes are sold in bags as specialty potatoes for premium prices. NEVER NEVER put concrete under any pumpkin type plants. The concrete will cause the pumpkin to rot prematurely. I am very proud of you for all your efforts this year. Have a great weekend bye for now
Yummy 😋 potato 🥔 harvest Emma. Yes, the weather is hot for UK standards because I was planning to do a video today (Friday 24th June) and because it was too hot couldn't do it. Keep safe, well and happy gardening. Not all potato varieties flower because it's when they go yellow (or are dying) they are ready for harvest.
lovely to see your excitement over your potato crop, makes all the care and watering worthwhile. The munchkin pumpkins I've grown up my arches because they are just like Jack b little and boo boo size.
Thank you Emma its a delight to catch up with you and l love how you feel about finding your potato,s and planting your squash have fun and l will try to listen to your Jimmy's farm talk xx
Hi Emma I think your face and comments when you unearthed your potatoes ought to be broadcast to every up and coming gardener. That’s what gardening is all about being disappointed at your failures and being jubilant about your successes. Go girl go.😂😂🤗🤗
Very pretty taters! Flowering is unreliable as a guide. The flopping over is the best indicator. Mine are still coming along, but don’t look as good as my previous year’s harvest. Can’t wait to harvest them and some leeks for leek and tater soup!
I love growing potatoes they really are the best because its just so exciting because you have no idea what you're going to get. And those potatoes you've grown look perfect. I love seeing how productive your allotment has become. And seeing how much more productive it's getting year on year. Brilliant.
🌼🌻🐝☀️🌺👨🌾 I love your garden!! Such a great inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and UA-cam creator. You put a lot of work and love into growing your garden! All the hard work is worth it to me to get to see the new growth everyday it brings me so much joy!. I still have so much to learn and I appreciate your tips, tricks! Please Keep sharing! I would love to learn more about gardening from each other.
Fan flippin tasket Emma, what a cracking harvest of potatoes 👏👏👏👏 well done.AND it's good to see you watering much more....water water gets you great results 👌❤ What a lovely happy face you had today, must have been that tasty sandwich you made yourself. All the very best sweetie 🌱🌱🌱💕
The podcast is fabulous Emma. You didn't sound nervous at all. You were clear and strong with purpose and direction drawn from your own unique journey....the future looks bright for you Emma xxxx
Just listened to the ‘podcast’, you sound great, so well done. Made me smile when he said, ‘chuck in some ‘rocket seeds’, they are easy to grow!! Not for me, always get eaten! I love rocket, but have difficulty growing it!
Congratilations on the podcast with Jimmy, what fun!!!! Your potatoes look perfect. I get so excited over a potato harvest, they are like little miracles.
Well done with the harvest those potatoes wil taste great i only grew one just to break up some clay soil and i got 20 off it, its great to see the successes as well as the failures thanksx
Well done the size of your potatoes look like they are first or second early salad potatoes, you may have had a larger harvest if you had left them a week or two longer.. Did get them all out any small ones left in ground may form new growth. Hope mine in containers yield such a good harvest.👍
Ohhh Emma you should be so so happy with those potatoes, they look amazing!! I did Borlotti beans lst year and loved them so much I'm doing them again this year. They are delicious, slighty nutty and really smooth.
This is my first video of yours and you have a personality that's fun to watch, especially when you were harvesting your potatoes! What type of potatoes were they, anyway? And I was salivating at those tiny, baby potatoes. I hope you saved them and added them to a salad or something! And thank you for not speeding through the potato harvest! Digging up potatoes is like a treasure hunt, which is why I love potato reveals! :)
Over the moon for you, your spud harvest looking good. I think most of us get that feeling of digging for gold. May I suggest a high pot-ash (potassium) fertilizer for your spuds next year? All the best.
Well done on spuds and I share your joy. We call snapdragons/antirhinums bunny rabbits as they look like rabbits teeth. Congratulations on having a podcast with jimmy too you are becoming famous glad you happy and well done 👍👋🏻
You are an excellent presenter to camera... don't beat yourself up Whereas I'm an old lady, over twice your age., and only started with an allotment in my fifties, 20 years ago...and I rather feel that cameras don't do me any favours
A fortnight away from the Allotment is discouraging when resuming, so we don't go away any longer. Years ago, before having an allotment, I used to secretly laugh at people who wouldn't go on holiday because they had an elderly or temperamental dog or cat. Now I won't go on holiday because of my STRAWBERRIES and COUGETTES. I perhaps need to get a life.

digging up potatoes is like finding treasure. I never tire of it. well done you!
Potatoes die back from the top. So they are not fully done if there's any green above ground.
Vegetable = edible leaf, stem, root, or part thereof.
I had a big grin on my face watching you dig up those potatoes! I really enjoyed the podcast, well done. 😀
It's so lovely to see that expression of absolute JOY when you're getting your tatties up Emma 😃 Well done lassie!
I felt exactly the same when I dug my potatoes up the other day, so glad it’s not just me. My first year so was super excited 😊

Haha! I feel the same way. I worry if we go anywhere over night to be fair! x
