    I guess my question is how did you install the projector into the factory housing in the headlights?

    Looking to do an LED conversion on a 2010 Elantra, really like the look of what you did. Did you use load resistors or replace the flasher relay?

      Just the Flasher relay... Although be prepared the relay is hidden under the drivers side dashboard and is very hard to get to... you don't need to take apart anything... its just a bit of a reach and torque to get to

      Good to know there actually is one. I spent some time looking online and in the car itself and can't find the thing. Got a bit worried when I ran across a forum post claiming it is computer controlled. Where about under the drivers side dash should I be looking? Thanks for taking the time to reply to me, :)

      solivagus777 I actually had the dealership put it in for me... Because it was kind of hard to get to... umm its if you think about it where the footrest is and straight up.. You can't really see it and it's hard to get to you kind of have to feel around until you feel what feels like the square relay and it's really up there like it took my whole arm to find it.... Again I would recommend you take it to the dealership and have them put it in for you....It takes the same relay as a 99 Lexus ES 300 so it will be easier to find the relay if you just look up that car

      Randy Fox I found it, and after a bit of wrangling figured out how to get it out and the new one in. Can't thank you enough for telling me where to look, I would not have looked there if I didn't know it was there.

    hey man hows it going, i have the same kit the ddm ballast and already have the bulbs as well, when you got your projector did you have to order the h1 bulb or just use the one from, ddm??

    • @RandyBTC
      @RandyBTC  10 років тому

      Sorry for the late reply.. holidays :)... anyway you have to buy h1 bulbs to fit in the MORIMOTO MINI H1 6.0 projectors as the stock bulbs are H11B. You can buy only the HID bulbs from DDM for a lot cheaper and carry over the ballast. The lifetime warranty from DDM will also carry over as long as you use their bulbs with their ballast.

    Was there adjustments that needed to be made to fit the setup?

    • @RandyBTC
      @RandyBTC  3 роки тому

      The turn signals/ brake lights/ reverse lights / fog lights and high beams can pretty much be replaced by plug and Play LEDs.. turn signals will require either a load resistor or a special relay that takes care of hyper flash if you care. Your regular low beams cannot be switched out for HID's or LEDs due to the adapter it uses inside the housing.. projectors will require a retrofit I.E tearing apart the headlight and doing custom work to get the projector to fit.. so yes adjustments will need to be made for that.. hope this helps
