Bad advice telling people to get aftermarket speakers the way you did. You have to understand no speaker will function properly with the stock amplifier, and if you do get new speakers, you NEEED an aftermarket AMP in order for your system to work properly. Unless you’re going to blow out your speakers and not know why when it was so low…. Some speakers require different impedance levels as well meaning you definitely can’t mix and match speakers with an amp…. Please consult an expert on audio at the very least before swapping your sound system.
You dont NEED an amp for speakers, especially high sensitivity speakers and a decent head unit that has a High Pass filter capability and ideally 7 band or more EQ. I had a Pioneer 80PRS with some Polk MM 6.5's and it was decent and performed good enough for most people and with sound treatment of the cabin (Doors, Parcel Shelf and Rear Firewall) its quiet enough to help the underpowered speakers, its not a need but If you want to go a few steps further, yes amping is louder and cleaner depending on amp and also gives the opportunity to run active which even further improves the sound by using time alignment but really its not necessary for 90% of people. Just a head deck, speakers, sub running off rear channels of certain pioneer decks and sound treatment can be a pleasurable enough experience.
@@BrainztormProductions i would never do something so whack… i want to hear those pre amps… ideally you would not even need an EQ except to boost your sub.
@@jordanseay216 like I said. It would NOT sound high quality no matter how expensive your speakers are. You 100% need an aftermarket amp to dial in your system to TRULY get the experience you’re paying for. A 7 heck even 13 band EQ does not emulate the same response from preamps and good crossovers.

Hey, sorry I didn't respond sooner. It really depends on where you decide to put it in the interior. I'm not sure about a mm thickness, I think they're all generally the same size and a little flap/wedge of material comes out to a point on one side so they kind of fit in any deep crevice. @@LibertyDrives yea, I’m more looking for the look rather than their actual reading purposes. And also, new to car modifications, so what gauges would be plug and play (very easy to install)?
