Is that what those ghost accounts were when I streamed? A bunch of accounts appeared in my chat list but didn't count as viewers when I used to stream. Was never sure if they were embedders or bots.
@@SmugAlana That's a good point. I guess it would be more accurate to say that twitch (the company) has been damaged by the viewbots enough to finally take action.
I think its more complicated what the add-ons shows is only the amount of verified users from my start experience this is only channel for which this is necessary is for big channels or which have highly se*ulized content to keep the creeps out. In general this helps only limited I mean the clicker farms I saw videos of had also all their own number so they could verify themselves. While it is certainly true viewboting is a real problem this video was in a phase were I felt content creators were picking on each other.
FYI in a previous video on the same subject: Asmagold showed a conversation about how the Twitch CEO is talking to big streamers to put together a list of major embedders to ban the websites from being used to viewbot/embed.
Yeah, if you have your own website you can embed your streams as a micro window directly linked to your Twitch channel. Essentially you could be perpetually online and everyone that is using your website counts as a viewer which artificially inflates your viewer numbers.
The reason JasonR had such a low percentage was because CS has 3rd party companies that run competitive servers with better anticheat and a higher server tick. Their websites and launchers will often embed the stream of top rated players.
doesnt explain how it calculates said viewers... calculator obviously broken showing 140%... but surely its enough basis to accuse someone of viewbotting to me is funny.
That's why he goes for the extreme offenders like below 30%, he literally explained it in the video, and also it's obvious if you just look at the chat, and he even goes to look at the twitch tracker site, I'll say that accusation has enough evidence to be probably more than just an accusation.
2:35 when your chat plays along like this thats proof of a dedicated following
Hello Alana, it is me your only viewer, now also on youtube beep boop
The fact that viewbotting is frowned upon heavily in UA-cam and can be easily get your account banned but not twitch is so crazy

Those are different, they don't appear as viewers and they just scrape chat for data
This is gonna be interesting. From what I understand Twitch has struggled with viewbots for awhile
is it struggling or just not caring though :-/ how hard is it to clean this stuff up I wonder

Even bots like soft fluffy fox ears ❤

Man, seeing her reaction again in the VOD is even funnier.
Nah twitch know it, I know it, Asmon knows it, chat knows it, even Alana's stinky toes know it and its still there. This is why lost ark died.
As AI gets better chat will move faster...

Someone view bot my stream with 2 bots..
This is NPPolter on a different account, coming at you months away to prove I'm still your only viewer even on UA-cam beep boop
Cat streamer.
Hey hello fresh if you are giving money away send some to me

nad he also checks twitchtracker for followers and stuff, a stream with thousands of viewers gaining less than 10 followers is very suspicious
Bro didn’t watch the vid.
@@Jr-fn7oc Alot of these streams are just embedded. Not viewbotted.
