I think the logic behind some people not liking the reactor talking over stuff in the vid comes from them not wanting the reactor to miss a part of the vid that they wanted to see said reactors reaction to. At least that more logical than "I cant hear the video stop talking" some just dont want you to miss stuff. (Although cant speak for everyone, also not saying those people dont exist but they are by far not the only perspective, i would agree in their case specifically that they should just watch the original.)
The entire point of reaction videos is reacting to the content. If you miss a bunch of the content because you can’t be bothered to pause while talking you’re making shit reaction content.
i remember when i was playing code vein, and the only wiki for it was fextra, and goddamn, everytime i click a new page i got a damn stream of some loser playing a completely unrelated game.
Embedding inflates the numbers for Twitch so it looks like more people are using their services than there are, which they obviously prefer. It only negatively affects the advertisers who would probably like to know they're paying for a service that nobody really sees.
fextralife used money to buyout and bounty day 1 info with low to no moderation, as long as new released games, as long as pages were made it was good enough to them, to give you an idea final boss who is a divine elden beast heals from holy damage was a line in fextra (the person used a weapon art or a spell that reduces bosses max hp by 20% and after the debuff ends it looks like the enemy hp bar refills, they changed it way later) they killed wikidot and fandom dark souls pages they were much better in terms of having information easily readable on the page
I personally love it when a trash fanwiki slows my browser to a crawl because of embedded streams and an overabundance of ads and doesn't give me the info i needed, i don't know what y'all are on about
Thank goodness this is happening. On top of their embedded streams being fuckin' annoying because of the autoplay, their guides aren't even really that good.
18:00 Even if the streamer is just as talented and experienced, you're generally going to have more fun in a stream with a fuller, more active chat, so there is value in chasing the most popular streamers. It sucks to be a low tier streamer grinding under those conditions, but life's like that.
yup and this is a system as old as time even back in the olden days of tv. if your show was popular or expected to be popular you got prime-time air times, and if your ratings fell off you would be bumped to other time-slots and if your show wasn't expected to be good you would get bad time slots to begin with making it hard to get the views to get a chance at better time slots but if your show turned out to be really good then you would be able to breakout. ie spongebob originally was expected to be a flop like what kid wants to see a talking sponge? so it had a bad timeslot but its raitings blew everything else on nikelodian out of the water and it got prime view times
Fextralife being the top result for any Baldur's Gate 3 related searches since launch has been infuriating. 90% of the articles are auto-generated garbage like, "yup, this item exists." Utterly useless garbage. And of course, every single one had his stream embedded on the left.
I absolutely agree view boting is bad. Its gaming the system and convoluting an already diffcult and Vague data metrics for Advertising. Its taking away money from the deserving and giving it to the people who have not worked for it. Its just that, the way you were addressing the haters, flipped a switch in my brain i had to pause as it was getting too negative for me. But its understandable that some people do tend to match negative energies when they recieve the same.
This is really important news. I want to thank Alana for making a video about this. Yeah the whole veiwbotting thing is interesting and all, but WE'RE GETTING A BODY PILLOW!!!!
I found Alana because I've trained the algo to recommend me hot Vtubers. At first I thought she was a normie but that her model was top tier. I still think that, but now I think she's kinda cute in a normie way.
i am not defending fextralife or any other live streamer that embed their stream, but, if the problem of embedded video is that it give extra viewer, then isn't it the twitch problem, and not the streamer? the streamer is using a feature made by twitch (embed), so all twitch has to do is remove the view count from embedded website. imagine you play Call of Duty, and you use M60, but the reload on all weapon is bugged and it give player 10% extra ammo, and people call you cheating because of the game dev incompetence, and you use m60 which has 100 ammo instead of the standard 20, so you get 10 more ammo, while other get 2 more.
Well game tournaments would ban said gun from being used to make the game play fair, much like what is currently going on with twitch to make what the advertisers pay for a fair spread.
@@Funnyvid16 yes, but that doesn't fix the central issue, which is the bug on the weapon reload function does it? it's a band-aid solution, the game dev still has to fix the bug in the first place. people who abused the bug should be punished, yes, but the main problem won't go away if you are only focusing temporary fix.
Twitch might not take direct action against Fextralife and just change how they count embed views. But here's why I don't think your analogy works: A video game player (who is exploiting a bug) is not a business partner of the game's. Fextralife basically is, and what he is doing endangers Twitch's relationship with advertisers.
@@oliverdh well, I never said not to punish fextralife do I? I said people who abuse this need to be punished after all, so punishing fextralife is warranted, I am just saying, if the problem is that embedded view give extra viewcount, twitch need to either remove the viewcount of embedded stream, or just remove embedded stream entirely because that's the root of the problem.
Huh... I didn't know you can check chat history. Hmm... Well, good thing that I usually am just chill to streamers. Although I need to be careful with my compliments, some that I have come up. Could be considered rizz and I might get myself into trouble with that.
Lil' bro's dm is sort of understandable, talking too much can actually subtract from the topic, making you miss some key points that the original creator your reacting to be left out, like I've seen reactors completely miss what the creator was doing or saying because they get so into talking in fear that if they dont, theyll just be another react andy. The problem is he looks like a complete moron when he spams swear words like a roblox kid who just found out what swearing is.
3:11 i understand you need to advert yourself but to have your stream Embeded into your site and to have it all the way at the bottom of the page is rediculous.
@@SmugAlana It can be difficult to tell the audio levels when you’re in the moment. I don’t know how, but sometimes streamers pull up the Stream in a separate instance to check the audio levels. I hope that information helps you!

Ah, so the petty and cheap tactic of adding anyone and everyone that is using their website to their twitch streams is over now? Not everyone has the benefit of a website that links directly to their twitch channel. It is essentially unfair to actually live streamers and the companies that are paying for you to play their video advertisements are basically paying for a view time slot that has no actual viewers.
fextralife sites are terrible, they are ass. they only put up the sight for the first few months (like 2-3) and then they stop updating it unless there's like a major update on the game they have a sight on, just look at their Elden Ring sight where they hardly update shit anymore or how bout the BG3 sight that still has BETA INFO and hasn't been updated TO DATE.

YAS
In a perfect world, we could all have Senpai Asmongold body pillow on one side and thicc thigh frosty fox Alana on the other side.

Fextralife killed the Elden Ring wiki.
ironically enough they created the damn thing
