That is not true. The show took place in the heart of the city of Paris in a place called the 'Grand Palais'. All of the rock walls and waterfalls, plants, etc. looks like it had to be created specifically for this show... Probably took the crews weeks to build this and install it in the Grand Palais. Incroyable!!
This is one of the most wearable Chanel collections I've seen in a while. Love the slight retro silhouettes and how much Karl chose to play with texture.
This is by far my fave outside show, I love how they added a 90s clueless vibe while also including some very 60s 70s colours patterns and shapes in there, very retro with a touch of future added in there. Love the set as well, everything about this is just my favourite. It’s very Chanel esc, coco Chanel.
Incredibly chic and modern, and still true to Chanel. Beautiful, styling, colors, textures, and silhouettes. I also love the plastic two-tone boots, gloves, and hats, I don't care what anyone says. Karl's last collections were especially amazing, he had such an eye for beauty until the very end.
Remember when Karl would walk the full runway at the end? He was using that boy as his cane as he was limping....for everyone who hated this collection, remember Karl is just as a legend like Chanel herself and I hate to think what would happen to the Chanel aesthetic once hes gone.
Who ever replaces him would probably turn the Chanel brand into a more streetwear style yet, while still respecting the coco Chanel aesthetic... and then get over praised for his genius....
Theres no longer longevity within a fashion house. Karl has been at Chanel since the 80's. Look at what has happened to Dior, can you imagine that happening at Chanel?

I love this show SOO much it makes me not only want to walk for Chanel but to wear every piece from this collection, I hope all of the future shows are like this except more diverse in heights, looks, every skin color, gender identity and sexuality embraced through the models. @@kellinmontoya1442 well no, don't lie to yourself, if short models can produce the same effect as tall models then there would be no such thing called physical requirement to begin with, the best walkers like Gisele, Natasha, Carmen, Yasmeen are never short. If there is a need for feeling included by insisting short models on the runway then Chanel and other brands may just go to the street and pick up random people for the show, no need for any casting, which will disvalue real models's effort on keeping their bodies lean and fit. There are more categories of modeling than just runway model, however, runway should be saved for the ones who can present the clothes the best. Every job has its requirement and there's nothing wrong with that

So amazing to see a collection that so effortlessly flows between textures and patterns and colors. Not to mention these incredible 1920's updated silhouettes (Chanel did invent the little black dress in 1926, remember!). The flux in the music I think really reflects the spirit of the roaring 20's by contrasting upbeat styles conveying the "Annees Folles" spirit of the youth in opposition to the extreme loss of population due to WW1. Absolutely brilliant, Karl is a mastermind!
So first was Cara, and then Kendall, Gigi, Bella. Cara again with lily rose depp, and now with Kaia. Maybe two years later is Suri Cruise, and Harper Backham...
Liked a lot about the clothes. New details. Loved the color palette. Only dislike would be the plastic which would produce way to much sweat next to the skin and was a distraction from the clothes themselves.
