The word "nyíl" in Hungarian is a cognate of "nuoli" by the way. So it is one of the very old Finno-Ugric words in Finnish. Arrows were an important thing already thousands of years ago.
For people, who accidentally travelled from Africa to the Middle East, to the Urals, then to Finland, you bet they were! 😄
In case anyone else is wondering, the -kulmio suffix also works for arbitrary quadrilaterals (nelikulmio) and even triangles (kolmikulmio).
Hei, Katchats! Nicely focussed video. Sä oot tähti!
Jee Kiitos 😄
Super grateful for these little lessons. Very simple, very digestible, hope you're doing well :D
Thank you so much, this makes me so happy! Hope you’re doing well too!
Hyvä oppetaja, olen Keniasta, mä opiskelen suomea.
Jee moi Keniaan!
Thanks for the video. Learning shapes was something I didn't think about before and for keeping it short and simple, easy to understand! 😊
Yay I’m glad 😊
Kiitos paljon!
Kiitos!
Nice. Shapes are one thing I haven't learned. Thanks!
Kiitos 😄
Remember guys, it's nuoli not nuole. Not that I ever made that mistake before.
Lol 😂
Thank you so much for these small lessons. I am level A2.2 and revisiting some stuff to not forget, these short lessons are perfect for that.Good lessons now are so expensive in Finland and T-toimisto only gives you a certain time frame for their help with lessons.SO I am very greatful kiitos paljon.Olet hyvä opettaja.
very useful and interesting :)
when you mentioned geometry, I reminded how we were learning "technical English" in the Uni - there were some chapters from an English physics textbook... Maybe I'll try that in Finnish once... later... much later :)
Hahaha muuuch later 🙃
Very cool as always 😎
Kiitos 🤗
Terve opettaja, kiitos ❤️
Kiitos paljon!
Kiitoksia! Tää oli hauskaa opiskella.
Kiitos 🤗
Sydän, a word which has a "d", as far as I know it's pretty rare.
Thank you 👍
Thanks for France 🇫🇷 ❤
Kiitos Ranskaan!
Viiva la revolución 😮
Hahahah that’s a good one xD
This is a bit off topic, but i haven't found the info anywhere else.
With greetings and well wishes, such as, hyvää päivää jatkoa, hyvää huomenta, hauska vappua, hyvää joulua etc. why is the partitive case used? What's the technical reason?
Similar question for:
Miten menee? - hyvin
Mitä kuuluu? - hyvää?
You know, if i say hauskaa vappua, i want to wish them that their whole vappu is fun 🤔. Hauskan vapun but I guess that doesn't sound right 🤷🏻♂️.
When I reach perfection, I will become a pallo. That's how I roll. 😎
👏🏻👏🏻😂 love that
Your videos are very helpful! I've started to learn in Finnish. 🇫🇮
Btw finnish is your mother tongue (native language)?
Yes it it! I grew up bilingual
😊
😄😄
❤❤❤❤❤
So, you can learn English with these videos, too.
I guess so yeah xD
Kiitti !
Sä oot tähti😊
Kiitos 😄
5:52 what would call line segment? Like viiva means line which is not defined is it same for defined length too?
That's "jana". And actually a (perfectly straight) line in geometry is typically called "suora".
❤
Hi kat I started learning Finnish language from you, but how can I move to Finland?
Why do some words in sentences get an extra "a"? Like the base word is talo but in some sentences its taloa
Because in Finnish words need to be said in correct case forms.
Partitive is one of the most common cases.
@@PavelQuiteGood thx i will search for more information bout this
😃😃🤩😍🤗🤗💞💗😘😘
I have such a tough time rolling my Rs 😢
