Not available here, but I just bought the GlenAllachie 10 Port finish. That’s the best Port finish I have had to date. Will choose that one over Arran Port or Glenmorangie Port Ruighe any day. Lovely stuff… 2000!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We do enjoy a wine cask-finished whiskey...most of the time. I guess I shouldn't lay down a blanketed statement. lol we did just have a port cask finished bourbon that was not great. Cheers, Gert.
A personal opinion regarding the price point of the standard bottelings of Kilchoman. Here in Sweden the cost is...Machir Bay sek689 (€61), Sanaig sek699 (€62), Batch Strength sek895 (€79) in todays currency. I think that's quite a fair price for a craft presented whisky, even if it's a NAS whisky. P.S. I dscoverd yesterday (from Gwhisky) that The Sanaig is coming as a Cask Strength version soon....that would probably be a really good one, I hope the price will be fair. Cheers
@@bluesmanen1 yes the cs is definitely something that interests me. Prices are a bit strange for me in general. I don’t mind paying more for quality. This brand is a good example. Unfortunately I live in Belgium and it is way more expensive here.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety That surprises me a bit, I thought that Sweden was quite expensive. Out of pure curiosity, I gave you the price of three standard bottelings from Kilchoman, what are the prices, in Belgium, for those three?
Whiskey News Mackmyra from Sweden filed for Bankrutcy in August and Redbreast have released a brand new Single Pot Still Aged 18 Years @ 46% abv which I haven't seen yet.. Approximate Cost being €230. Ouch
What a great expression. I definitely need more to try. What would you recommend? Please remember to like share and subscribe. ❤ 20 to go to 2000.
Now you're entering dangerous Peathead terrain, Gert.😂

@@benzabenza2743 Thanks. Let me know what you think about that one…… cheers
Nice review. My brothe had a bottle like this one some years ago, and if my memory serves me right, it was a really good one. Cheers
@@bluesmanen1 it is lovely.
I think I would like the Port cask. Just ordered the Madeira cask and the Batch Strength. My favorite distillery
@@stefanschertenleib1313 you are not going to be disappointed. Let me know what you think about it. Cheers
I've become a fan of Kilchoman, really enjoy the Sanaig and 100% Islay. This one sounds delicious (just don't tell Frank I said this.)
@@TJO1913 lol. Not a word. Welcome to my channel. Here we keep secrets and enjoy good whisky. Cheers

Thanks For me anything with port is good. Add a little smoke and i am happy
@@WhiskyLoversSociety Not much smoke in GlenAllachie though 😊 But that was a good dram. Haven’t had a “bad” GA 😊
Unfortunately many of the Kilchoman releases are not available in my area but this one is so maybe I'll pick it up.
