How many bottles do you have waiting for a special occasion? And what is that special occasion? Remember to like share and subscribe ❤
I believe life is short and we only go around once so I open very expensive and/or rare scotch and share! I believe whisky is something to share with people we love and at birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, university graduations and such. I recently opened a new Ardbeg 25 and shared generously with friends who were over. People are precious! It’s just whisky! People are worth more! Cheers!
@@christinecamley nice feedback. And you are correct.
@@WhiskyLoversSociety Cheers my friend!! As a clinical psychologist it's an occupational hazard thinking about what's critical in life!! Lol!! I didn't mean to sound too serious!!! Have a terrific weekend!! Cheers!! 🙂
@christinecamley
Hi Cristina
I love your attitude about whisky, its only whisky, share because life is to short to be stingy, I hope I got your name write, my favorite bottle of whisky is going to be a deanston 2002 organic oloroso cask strength, if you can still find a bottle of this, it's a no b rainer, I have a little over 200 bottles of scotch whiskeys, but I have been drinking scotch for 35 year's, so I just keep buying to ad to my collection, take care and enjoy your whiskeys !!!
@@frankiehawkins3877 Thanks so much Frankie!! What a lovely reply! I appreciate your message and thoughts so much!! Your Deanston 2002 organic oloroso CS sounds spectacular and so delicious!! It's so much fun adding scotch to a collection! Enjoy, share and have fun - it is just whisky!! Have an awesome weekend!! Cheers!! 🙂
@christinecamley
Thanks Christine for the kind remarks and may you have many more sips and great drams in your life !!!
on a rainy day .................. even coconut juice will do fine ... for me.
@@ironmantran 🙀. A humble man. 🫡
I have quite a few bottles that I am waiting for a special occasion, but that is because I am bought them at a good price and I am not rich so I am waiting till I am retired and I can enjoy great malt when I want and not have to worry about paying the exorbitant price But cheers to those who can afford to drink whenever they want whatever they want
I have a Highland Park 27 year-old 1995 that I am going to open for my 60th birthday in November and very excited about that
I have this problem with red wine and champagne because once it's open it doesn't keep, whereas with whisky it never hurts to try it. cheers!
@@bertRaven1 love the red wine. Was a bit of a obsession years ago. Even did some reviews.
You forgot Laphroaig 10 years 🤩🤩
My special whisky : Talisker 44 years !!
Great video idea👍. I have two bottles for a special occasion. The first one is Glengoyne Teapot Dram Batch 7, I've had a few other batches and they are mind blowing. I got it from my kids as a Christmas gift in 2019.
The other one is Balblair -99, 1:release, bottled in 2018, just a marvellous dram, no special story about it, just a really good whisky🍷cheers
@@bluesmanen1 great picks. Always nice to get your positive feedback. Cheers
Best and most special bottle i have is Yamasaki 18 from 2012. Will open it when I turn 50. 😃. I bought a sample of it some years ago and its fantastic. Regular whisky on a rainy autumn must be Lagavulin 16 for me atleast. Cheers from Sweden.
@@benzabenza2743 That is truly an awesome whisky that I will never afford. I waited way too long.
I love Royal Salute. I have gone through 2 bottles.
@@customer9845 it is lovely.
like the strategy of buying two as well
@@bertRaven1 these ones went all crazy price wise.
Great video - I bought quite a few whiskies too over the years thinking they were cheap - Halushu 12, Glengoyne 21, Glendronach 15, Kilkerran 12, Kavalan Solist....and prices for sure have doubled on many. I cream of the collection that is unopened is the Springbank 30, bought on Amazon in Japan ....craxy huh, and now worth like 3x....all to be opened but foe me too - special occasions over the next 20-30 years!
@@uiski7956 nice list. Especially the Springbank.
I have just a few extra special bottles (Black Art 4.1, Bowmore Feis Ile 2024 19 y/o, and Port Charlotte Feis Ile 2024 20 y/o). I'm planning on opening them in the next 12 months-no special occasion. I agree that life is too short, and you never know when you're going to go. It'd be a shame to leave special whisky behind. 🥃
True. Nice list.
I have been holding on to a 32 year old cask strength Oban for 21 years (so far). It will be opened the day I retire in 2 years.
Now that is a special occasion. Almost time
I will never buy a bottle of anything to store it. Yes. I have a lot of unopened bottles, but that is because it’s a very good release. Example. I have 4 unopened Ardnamurchan Rum Cask, 3 Ardna Cherry Cask, 2 GlenAllachie 10 CS #6, 2 Mortlach 15 from Gordon & MacPhail, and a Balcones Texas Single Malt. I probably forgot something, but this is bottles I love, that I know will be hard or impossible to find again. If I want to drink one of the good or expensive ones on a regular Friday, I do so, but often I reach for the bottles I want to “get rid of” first unless I have something new to open. As @christinecamley said… Life is to short… Of corse I reach for the good ones on special occasions. Like when I had my first grandchild 5 weeks ago 😊
@@fotografi4fun nice selection. Love the ardna.

I just bought seven bottles of dewars 21double double Mizunara oak 750 ml for &98 each and let me tell you they are special occasion drinks it is so fabulous. I can’t believe it is so 11:34 I bought it at Costco.
@@kirbycalgary2844 That 27 is a perfect special occasion dram. Let me know what you think about it. Cheers
@@WhiskyLoversSociety I definitely will it is the Gordon and McPhail product
I got the Royal salute 21 in the red bottle for my 40th, it's a decent dram, but nowhere near worth the price
@@gav25x That is a great gift.
Ledaig 18 year old
@@BaWBarmy nice one. What occasion will be good enough for you to open it?
You forgot Laphroaig 10 years 🤩🤩
My special whisky : Talisker 44 years !
@@pinanti lol. That bottle has seen some oxygen. Bloody hell mate. 44 years. My heart.
