You are the first reactor that noticed or mentioned the ending callback notes that MISA played to Ale's ending bass notes for "Survive". That was the first thing I thought when I heard the end of this exceptional collaboration between two amazing bands. Great breakdown of the lighting, camera work, and music.
8 top tier rock musicians in one space with their instruments, it should have been chaos, but Dani has said she was pleasantly surprised how much Kanami was involved in everything from composing, audio engineering, arranging and playing, she knows how to do it all. I believe her, Kanamis' fingerprints are all over this, she was basically a co-producer on this track
There are lots of UA-cam reactors who react to Band-Maid and I enjoy them, but I have not seen anybody who reacts with a producers viewpoint like you did. It is very instructive and gives me a new perspective. Thank you for the good job and I will check your other works.
SOP for Band Maid is Kanami writes the music, sends out a demo to the band, asking for feedback. Miku listens to the music, including the vocal melody line, and comes up with lyrics. Kanami incorporates changes as the flow of ideas goes on. Eventually Saiki has final say on when the song is good enough. In this song, Kanami was firm on the singers using this higher key than they usually do. There was a fall back plan of a lower key if needed. Both singers took up the challenge and powered thru.
Saiki & Dany to Kanami "the vocals are really high, are you sure about that? Kanami replies "What! Don't you trust me?" Mincho hears things that we mere mortals can just dream about. Brilliant vocals. Thanks for your insights.
Dany has been doing this for awhile, so no issues from The Warning side. It's a good Band Maid song. I'm happy to see two bands who love each other getting to play together. I'm waiting on their Mexico collaboration.
I really enjoyed this reacts video. Loved all the backend technical insights. I do not know either one of these bands, but I really enjoyed the takes on the video. Well done. I am glad you took a shower.
Kanami and Dany did an interview on the PRS channel. They both play similar guitars in the same color. They said that there are additional collabs in their future. Dany wants BM to come to Mexico to do a song in Spanish.
That's awesome! I know there's slight age difference between the bands, but TW seems mature for their age and I think their collabs can only improve now that they've worked together on one song so far. I'll have to check out this PRS video! Thanks for the recommendation and watching!! TWA ⚡🤘
Nice reaction. I guarantee you most of us non or hobby musicians could pick all these details out. There is a lot going on for a three minute song. I’d like a little more lingering on the instrumental action. Another reactor pointed out how easily this could turn into an 8 to 10 minute song. Not good for radio play but us nerds would be digging every second of it. Naturally. 😅 Coming from the Warning camp I’d like to see a little more of them, but this is a fantastic collaboration and I am pretty sure we’ll see more of this to come. They’ve dropped little hints that this may not be the last we’ll see them together. Thanks again.
I really look forward to your in-depth analysis of both visual and musical mediums. I personally do not care how many times you pause to comment. If I didn’t want to hear your thoughts, I wouldn’t be here. Well done.
Nice one. Thanks for taking the time to talk about the video production and stuff, too. FYI, if you know any Spanish or Italian, even if it's just food names or something, the vowels in romanized Japanese are basically the same. So you can take like the A at the end of pizza, and the E's in penne, and apply those to Akane, and Saiki's names. The combined "ai" just sounds like those vowels in sequence, and ends up sounding like "eye".
Thanks for the in depth reactions. So tired of all the phoney and simple ones. As for the people complaining about the pauses, they can go watch the video. Your channel, do it your way.
Yep, somebody on X posted the helipad address in Tokyo, I think another band has also used that location. You should check out Dany's and Kanami's interview on PRS Guitars Japan's UA-cam. ua-cam.com/video/vyUsaA4ZqTQ/v-deo.html Yep, even Dany is about 5 years younger than any of the maids. Ale is about a decade younger. Band-Maid has done 2 concerts in Mexico, they would love to go back. Band-Maid was at Pointfest in St. Louis in 2023 where they met Mike Einziger lead guitarist of Incubus which led to their other collab "Bestie" co-written with MIke ("Mikey-chan"). Band-Maid opened for Incubus at the Tokyo Incubus concert and Mike came out and played Bestie with Kanami.
You can record 5 versions of the song and they would all work. Once like this one, then one each of Band Maid and The Warning. TW version would be almost like this one. From BM it would be with solos. Then one each with Danny or Seiki as guest vocalist
Great, too much added value to the Review. But listen the music video first! Enjoy the music! More of the Warning plz. Her Performance at Poland Rock 2024 deserves your kind of analisys.
I rtealy wonder how the made the in street shots. .. I make a lot of fotos in a city at night, but I use da flash ... perfect Color temperature for the models .....But theire color is more blue red. .. is this just livable light? perhaps with reflectors?
I can understand stopping the song niw and then, but 7 or 8 times in the first minute? Im nut watching that. Let it play through, then go back and do your thing.
Brother you and me both ... this was something else but a song reaction. Watch once with 1-2 pauses and then re-listen and talk about all those things but I highly doubt someone can enjoy a 3-4 minute song when you pause it so much and prolong it for 20 minutes
If you are here to watch the video, why not watch the entire video separately so that BM/TW get credit for the additional view. This is a reaction channel, after all. There will be pauses and the interval between them is determined by the reactor, not the viewer.
@@elgonwilliams7624 and we don’t like it :) many reactors don’t pause 7 times in the first minute while talking about lightning … it’s a personal opinion but I highly doubt anyone would enjoy so many pauses
@@elgonwilliams7624 And that's why I'll not be watching that reactor again. Also, his reaction was oll informed because I se he watched so little of it.
So I would suguest you do it backward than what you did. watch the music video. Then on the second pass pause and explane the camera work and other things. You also you might notice more things on you second pass. Just my two cents.
Love your channel!

That's Kanami's new private stock PRS called Torajima (Tiger stripes) plugged into a Bogner.

No kanami produces - she has an engineer/studio tech.
There were no guys in the audio loop here except a gopher or two.

Bandmaid have been using the same videographers for ages, live and MV. Saiki has a lot of input.

It was good to see Kanami showing off her brand new PRS in this video. Shame she didnt have it during the interview

Kanami did an incredible job on the production here.
Just subbed. I am looking forward to watching you review some more music
As always, great reaction and analysis. Tell me, has there ever been a drummer who looks so bad-ass while just sitting at her kit than Pau?

Sorry, Dany did not do falsetto to open. She just hit a killer note
Poor Miku.Getting to harmonize with 2 headstrong singers!

Dos buenas bandas ,pero prefiero a The Warning por su rock diferente y creativo ,son maestras de la composición
You stop too damn much. I'm out.
