Definitely heavily passenger orientated. Fabulous spottong session you had, fully enjoyed watching both parts :-)
Depending on when you get here Stafford can be a right gold mine for sure
Hi Tornado922. Great part 2 of your film at Stafford. Extra information for you: at 22:49, 220002 was indeed the service from Paignton. Looking forward to watching the Winter Steam Gala at Quorn & Woodhouse on the Great Central Railway. Kind regards, Chris.
Looks like you had a good day at Stafford Jarred. Nice to catch two AWC 805s, LNWR 730s, 88006, pair of 90s and 390119. Great video and thanks for sharing 👍
I would move the xc train to the siding buddy and as always a awesome video buddy from Alan in Lowestoft buddy 👍 😊
The livery does look rather striking on the 805 and it’ll be interesting to see them in proper action replacing the voyager fleet, whilst the interior will be familiar and the seats being the same as the 390. Whilst the 730s have already made there debut the more flexible 5 car fleet will look just as promising.
I saw a thing like the signal issue. At Preston, a class 331 had a door stuck open and got cancelled on platform 2. Services to York and Manchester had to go through platform 1. Also some services to York got delayed there because they were supposed to depart at 46 past from P2 and from York to Blackpool departed P1 at 40 past
220001 was one of the Voyagers going to Manchester Piccadilly from Bournemouth.
Nice catch on the 80x,s the future is near sad to see the 221,s go but its a necessary evil.
When I went to Manchester Piccadilly last Thursday, all TPE trains going to Manchester airport were all cancelled so that crosscountry train that was cancelled at 4:48 would have been connected to that I would think. Great video though! Can you see if you can do newcastle this year?
hello tornado922 how are you doing my mate I'm hoping you're OK at the moment cheers?
@senselessdust that would possible explain a great many things. I will try and see if I can get up to Newcastle later this year if I get the chance to do so
I counted you the number of containers on a DB service to get an idea how many Lorries that's has taken off the road, and cuts back on a fair amount of CO2. 34 I counted on that service .
Nice vid! Do all Avanti voyagers to Chester stop at Stafford? On the Avanti West Coast rail map, it says Stafford is a limited stop. Lately I’ve seen loads of Chester services call at Stafford and in my Euston video, I found one calling at Stafford. On the Avanti map, it says Milton Keynes Central is a regular stop on the Chester route (route C) and I’ve not seen a single Avanti service terminating at Chester call there. Is it wrong? I wonder… Still nice catch of lots of trains including the 805’s in their shiny Avanti livery❤
Yes, all Avanti Voyagers that go to and from Chester stop at Stafford.
I don’t see why Stafford is a limited stop for Avanti the station is owned by them
@@SWTROfficial Yeah it is. Milton Keynes should be the limited and Stafford should be the regular stop. Now I’ve seen loads of them stopping on Realtime Trains. Thanks for the reply! It did help!!
@@StarbitTrainspots well I think Milton Keynes has more avanti services than LNWR
Test runs aplenty in this part it seems! Less freight this time but what can you do? For the car train with the Land Rovers, how can you see what's inside there through the mainly covered wagons?
In regards to seeing what was inside the car train I just happen to have good eyesight but also know that particular train carries Land Rovers down to the docks for export
Bit of a odd ball but can you do GEML line or is there not enough variety in trains?
Are the 805s going to be operated as far up as Edinburgh does anyone know or are they staying further south
Thanks a lot. that’s a shame for me but I’m sure I’ll see them soon enough at some point
You can never usually hear the ‘gunshot’ sound before this hiss and whine on the pendos from the back but it’s loud so so I don’t get why
@@Tornado922 just out of interest how do you get onto the platforms at these kind of Avanti stations without travelling by train some of them have ticket barriers
@@Tornado922 I knew Stafford didn’t have them but how do you get to the platforms at stations with ticket barriers without travelling there on a train
@@SWTROfficial I'll either ask the station staff if I can get onto the platform or even buy a platform ticket
How to butcher the new train numbers. You said 750. It was 730. When you were looking in the gangway of the new 730 trains.
Well if anyone is gonna butcher train numbers then it will always be me haha
Great start to 2024 with two great videos from Stafford, looking forward to many more, very best wishes, stay safe!
Thanks very much!
