To anyone curious about the result of Vittorio (the young man who had numbness on half his body), they made an update on Facebook as follows: He received an MRI and specialists found two areas in his brain which were under attack by his immune system. Why is this? It turned out Vittorio had COVID-19 just a couple of weeks before and his immune system went into overdrive.
He had to be admitted to hospital for treatment and after a couple of months he was able to walk again - however due to the treatment he received he was immunocompromised and had to avoid going out for 3 months.

Josh is a great example of why we need to remember important phone numbers once again. We used to remember every common number we called. We had to dial the number not tap a name.

I started panicking so bad on ketamine while in ICU after my last aortic replacement surgery. Not a fun experience, I thought I was for sure dead while inside the "disassociate state of mind" but getting sucked back into reality and becoming aware of your body and the pain is the worst, suddenly realizing I was alive but wishing I wasn't cause the pain was so friggin bad. Was opened from top left shoulder blade to bottom left rib, it hurt soooo bad!

It's a true workout being an ER nurse/Dr.. CPR is brutal, if ribs don't crack - you aren't effective.
I once did Heart compressions for 22min, the next day i couldn't move my arms.

When my husband worked at an ammunitions plant, he went into sudden cardiac arrest. Fortunately, because of the nature of the job, they had ambulances and EMTs on site at all times. They had to shock him 3 times, but they saved his life. Even so, I am really glad he doesn't work there anymore. I was constantly worried when he did.

I once died in emergency. I had laid down on the bed while the nurse went to get the BP. She came back to a dead patient. She called it then climbed upon me and started chest compressions. I died another 3 times before they worked out I had asymptomatic pneumonia. If not for the error staff I would have not survived.

Oh wow the man! A fistula! A renal patient! Well I can relate to that! I have a Fistula and was on dialysis for many years. I now have a transplanted kidney! I hope it lasts past 10 years this time. The medications however are very hard on the heart. Heck even dialysis is hard on the heart. AH! Type 1 Diabetic! My cousin is since he was 3. In his 50's he has now started to see my kidney doctor as diabetes is hard on the kidneys and having it for so long is really hard over time on them. Also on the heart.

She was probably not a medically trained staff member so would not know what to do. She may also have gone to raise the alarm somewhere or she may have been scared like most other by-standers & just wanted to get away. Luckily Andrew was very well attended by half the available (medical) hospital staff! There are lots of ancillary staff in a hospital.

A few years ago, I was involved in a minor car accident, which caused a lot of pain in my back. I was taken to the emergency room here in Pennsylvania just to make sure everything was all right. While I was there, they brought in an elderly lady, who had suffered a massive stroke and cardiac arrest. Unfortunately, I don’t think she made it. That makes you think about life. I am dealing with a lot of medical issues and psychiatric issues myself. It’s tough.

It can be really hard to find the right combination of meds to help get your brain back to somewhat normal. The fight is hard and long, ups and downs but I promise you it will get better so don't give up. I hope you have a good support system from family and friends cause it can really help.
