Brother please be careful that close to the bank especially when there is a croc trap just there lol but loving the content and your positive vibes 🙌🏼🍻🤙🏼
Hey Bud, when using tigers or ginger Prawn, use a circle hook size 2 hooked under the horn on the head with a 1meter 7 to 10kg trace line to a swivel and a running sinker after the swivel towards rod tip. This allows the prawn to move freely covering 2 meters diameter. I fish them frequently with great success. On low tide try for mud crabs
Unreal love fishing in QLD. Just a tip with the livies, hook them through the mouth! When you chuck them out in current, if they’re hooked in the tail, once they get tired they’ll be backwards and spinning and the current and die. If you hook them just through the mouth, they’ll sit facing the current and live way longer and most importantly look natural! I was hooking them in the tail till I watched an underwater video with the difference in hooking them and it’s insane, the ones hooked anywhere but through the top of the mouth would sit there and die and spin in the current, ones hooked right would look spot on and live way longer
buy the 4.5 white pursuit tackle twitch it’s for flicking mangroves, they won’t let u dowm. also, when ur livies head gets eaten that’s a jack that’s hit it
Love it brother. Keep up these self challenge kind of videos! I love seeing you push yourself and stay true to your word every time. And you show it how it is, doesn’t always go your way and you don’t hide the bad times. Peace bro
@@lukefalzon always good bro 😎 hope you’re well! Off to the hippolyte this weekend ( in tassie ) to chase some tuna. We got barrels running atm 🎣. Can’t wait for the next vid man! 💪🤙
Love the content brother. But I have a suggestion for your next video, could you like a budget fishing challenge from like Facebook market pace or something. It’s a bloody good night when you upload, keep up the fantastic work. Tight lines 🤙🏽
Hey Luke another great video, next cast net try a chain bottom and match the hooks to your bait size . Thanks again for a great video, I’ll be looking forward to the next one…
If I were you I’d be going to Bluewater to catch bait. Plenty mullet, prawns and mud herring there. That way you don’t need to disturb the fish by throwing your net where you’re meant to be fishing. Live mullet (baited correctly) on that rocky headland at Taylor’s Point at night should produce. I’ve dropped a big Barra around that headland using a 30cm live mullet for bait. Big bait big fish.
well done bro.. really enjoyed your video.. just some tip, if you want to have more great chances to get prawn using castnet, try getting any sock and put some chicken bran and tie it to some line and throw it where you want to castnet. leave it for 10 minutes, and go for it. hopefully give you extra advantage, because time is precious.. heheh
Bro you’re brave fishing where a possible crocodile could be The trap looks big so I can only imagine what the crocodile they’re trying to catch looks like Stay safe Love the videos
Hey bro love the vids, there are two great lures for the mangroves. A topwater soft plastic frog and a flick prawn pre rigged from chase baits they are really good
In bunderbirg go to a boat ramp and use live bait at night you will catch a baramundy I no some one who cought the biggest barimundy ever at 1 meter and a half
Love the vid mate. Barra come out just on dark and they are everywhere busting bait so if u get you bait in there u should get one. Keep up the great vids
Awesome video mate, I've been to that spot twice since moving to cairns. Got some nice bream on prawn bait with a running sinker. There's another spot similar to that just up the beach on the other side of where you are fishing, check it out!
if your next vids under 30mins throw it back bro or I’ll fine you. 30mins or more is the legal size of luke vids . Also bring the theme song back it gives me 10 seconds to open all my snacks. Love you huge blessings don’t change. Peace!
@@lukefalzon yeah true , never even been there... So many little spots to explore around here.. and cheers mate , had to look twice before I called it, only seen one in captivity that big..
use size 6 circle hooks dont need to strike but will ctach big and small fish-- if your going for barry let them run a bit before trying to wind but if thats not working wind straight away thats what worked for me
Also I’ve fished there before with my dad and the things that keep taking ur bait are mud crabs. I know this because I caught one and it’s the only other explain-ion for why ur line has weight on it but when u try to reel it in it let’s go.
Brother when we do live baits over here in nz for our live baits we put the hook in the front of the Dorsl fin that way the fish still looks natural and the predator fish usually take the bait head first
Where your fishing at the river mouth walk 30 meters back and fish straight out running sinker prawns or live baits lots and lots of salmon Barra and jack fish it on top of tide and first 1.5 hours of our going :)
Hey man ill be honest with the day time fishing most of the bigger better fish will be in the mangroves so unless the lures landing past the outer edges of the mangroves in snaggy areas your not casting close enough haha may get 1 fish to come out but better to get deeper if you can
@Luke Falzon havnt been for a few weeks haha my last trip i was on a boat and ended up with a striped tuna of about 6 kilos and my better trip before that in early February i ended up with my first black marlin
I also wouldn’t recommend the braided line you should put either 6 or 8 pound mono for live bait fish such as yakka squid and garfish but for samson fish I would use 15 or 20 pound mono and i think when you are fishing with 15 or 20 pound mono drop the line do not cast because it is thick line and it won’t cast that far at all but with the 6 or 8 pound mono it will cast super smooth and far 😊
Brother please be careful that close to the bank especially when there is a croc trap just there lol but loving the content and your positive vibes 🙌🏼🍻🤙🏼
