I LOVE the front turn signals being daytime lights when they aren't flashing, so I returned 2 of the bulbs I bought and purchased the clear covers. Thanks for the awesome video, step by step. I ordered all the parts from the links provided you provided to Amazon. I already have a high output 6000k lumens led headlight bulb that I replaced the halogen bulb with. 1996 VT1100c Honda Shadow. Powerful bike. I love to ride. Thanks again.
This is great! Everything else I've seen online says I need to wire in diodes but all I need is a 2 pin flasher instead of a 3 pin? I've spent tons of money and time trying to get something to work without cutting and rewiring things. If this works I'd love to buy you a beer! UPDATE! So I put after market LED signals on the rear to slim the look down and put those same bulbs in the front signals. I also changed the flasher with the exact same flasher as you and in the end I had to pull the turn signal indicator bulb in order to get them all to function correctly. Tried everything like yours on my friends bike with the same results as mine. The key to getting any of this to work is the little bulb for the indicator needs pulled. Otherwise all bulbs will flash as 4 way flashers.

Doing the same thing to my 85 Shadow 700 this weekend, using the same parts. Did you get a brake light warning indicator on, when you did the rear brake bulb? Just curious. Quick question I put leds in the front and back and installed a relay aswell but for some reason when I use the signal the front signals are fine but in the back they both turn on together…

I’m glad it is a helpful video for you. The brake light does have 2 positive connections and a ground. So, the brake light has 2 levels of brightness. Works as a running lamp and brake lamp. Works like a low/high beam.
I have an 03 shadow, i want to replace the tail lights with a more modern look..if i buy an aftermarket tail light will i need to buy that relay as well?
Followed every step for my Honda Shadow 2013. When I replaced with the hyper flash relay I now get all 4 lights flashing instead of what I see in your video. What’s up with that?

A website called LEDLight has the solution, an LED-capable relay which directly replaces Honda OEM P/N 38301-MEG-000. It's eight bucks.
Are you taking about the marker bulbs that switch from white to amber? If so, that bulb is always on with the bike. It’s normally just a not bight amber with the bike on then brighter with the blinker. The led has white and amber built in. Just plug it in a add a relay so you don’t have the hyper blinking.

If your putting LED’s in for the turn signals, you have to change the relay so they don’t flash fast. The other option would be to add a resister to reach turn signal led but the relay is easier and cheap. I have a 2007 honda areo not sure the name of it but got it at jpcycle for led conversion now he said to get a Douala one separate for the front led I guess it’s the same thing as a diote kit but this wires in line I guess. Just want the indicator glass so I know when I have them on

I read all the comments and there is only one link that actually works and it's the front led blinker bulbs from Amazon but the others are just to Amazon and do nothing but take you to Amazon.. no worries I will figure it out
David Barajas I would check your wiring and make sure they are not crossed. Also, Might be worth putting the normal bulbs in just to rule out the LED’s.
In addition to Flipmotions' comment, a 2-pin relay sends ground through the "LED" pin, which is connected to the pilot light up under the handlebars. You need a 3-pin connector, or to remove the bulb in the pilot light.

I had to replace the relay for them. It’s easier then adding resistors to each bulb. And cheaper too 😁

flasher relay in my 2018 is in the headlight housing. A little more difficult to get to.

I just did the LED’s and relay. The relay is different then the factory. It has been changed to operate the led lights correctly.

I changed the lights with leds and got the fuse but when I turn the signal on all 4 blink

@@CptCvmnStmpBts Google "38301-MEG-000 LED Light" without quotes. The problem is that a 2-pin relay sends ground through the LED pin, which sends it up to the turn signal pilot light under the handlebars, and since there's only one of those, it completes the circuit for both sides, causing all four lights to go on. A website called LEDLight has the solution, an LED-capable relay which directly replaces Honda OEM P/N 38301-MEG-000. It's eight bucks.

Irish Rider 7 yeah but custom dynamic lights are great. I’m thinking of adding a light bar to mine to widen the light.
Erik , I’m going to add red led brake with amber led turn signals from Custom dynamics. I pretty sure you’ll agree. Honda brake lights are two small.
