I have a rabbit I rescued off the streets when he was a very tiny baby. He is four years old now. He recently had to be confined and taken to Vet, and take meds and remain confined until his ailment cleared. He would not look at me when I would come in to feed, medicate, groom him, cuddle, and made him comfortable. He Literally gave me his rabbit version of what we humans call “the cold shoulder”. He made sure he made eye contact with me, then stomped his foot, and turned his fluffy tail towards me. Once he was loosed in his room and no longer quarantined in confinement, I would call him to come get his salad. He remained hidden out of site but adamantly stomped his foot at me. He is finally over it. Sort of. He initiates petting, and grooming. It has been awhile since he gave me bunny kisses. Maybe one day he will truly forgive me. ❤
Non dog lovers/pawrents would say this is abuse. For those of us who are living with fur heads, these are the normal and universal ways of showing us just how much they enjoy being nearby.
My dog loved the vet, because he always gives treats.😂 Every time we went the vets way he pulled us to him. Couldn't wait to get there and get his treats.
Each dogs' first vet visit has to be just to get to know the place and just a possitive experience. I am lucky, all my goldens and the cavie are cool and don't mind anything done to them. They also sniff around and love if there are other dogs and ( yes, please!) cats ! I used to acompany a friends' dog with my first golden, because she'd help him be less afraid.. Yet, every first visit with all the dogs I worried they'd get scared and ruin it for them firever. Luckily, they were all just happy to be there! ❤
We have a 14 year old Bichon who was the total opposite. He practically jumped into the arms of one particular vet whenever she appeared. I felt surplus to requirements!
I don't blame any of those doggos in the slightest . . . at least with the smaller ones the owners can pick them up, we had a great dane who refused to step inside the vets, she'd just plant and not budge!!! Plus she could not be bribed with treats, she wouldn't eat them! Me not silly Mum, I know what they're up to and treats are not going to work.
I went to the vet last week with my cat and two guys had to carry in a St Bernard who refused to come through the door. 3 of my 4 cats are more scared of the car ride than the vet.
I have a cat that poops every time he's put in the crate, on the way to the vet and on the way home, it's horrible. There were people working in my house so I just put him in the crate in my car in the driveway, the car never moved and he still pooped. I bought diapers, they made the cleanup a little easier, but I eventually said the heck with it, and now the vet comes to my house. It's $100 extra, but it's worth it. I have three cats, if I get all three cats done, it's still just $100 extra, not $100 each, so it's well worth it.
I learned that if you take your dog or pet to the vet more often they like it. If you only take them when they are sick or hurt that’s how they associate it.
We don’t call it vet in our house. We say we going to Autie Reilly’s house. Reilly is a vet tech that carry around cheese max peanut butter treats to greet the animals. So fails wag when we go to Auntie Reilly’s house.
My dogs have always loved their vet. As long as the get treats the vet can do whatever. My old girl would look at the vet and then up at the shelf where the liver treats where and then back at the vet. She was very clear what she was saying.
Yeah, I remember once helping "slide" our dobie into the vet, my sis with the leash on one end, me at the butt on the other. I really appreciated the tiled floors. At the same time, some guy was exiting and he jumped out the way - both scared. lol.
My big dogs Saints were grand at the vets but the dobies, pitties, rotties could one day be ok, next time scared to death. MY lil guys, chix, poms, min pins were fine as they loved the attention. The Big dogs donated blood every few months and then they would stay for a few hours and visit with the sick dogs and cats. The staff bought lil nurses caps for the dogs who loved them.
A few years ago when we took our dog to the groomers, there was a big Rottie walking around the store with his daddy, and when he got to the groomer, the daddy was carrying him.
It would be better if people turned their cameras around for a wide screen shot rather than the narrow video. Still they are all so cute and it makes me really miss my big Walker hound that we lost. He was all 75 Lbs a big baby. Shalom
Why? Why do they hate the vet SO MUCH? Poor babies. I dread taking my pets to the vet because they get so upset and there's no comforting them. But they always forgive, even if it takes awhile. ❤
One theory I heard that made sense to me is that dogs, having an incredible sense of smell can smell when something has died now consider how many pets specifically dogs get put down every year in any given vet's office. Makes sense the vet would be a terrible place to be
Shows why Vets offices have slick flooring , so we can pull our unwilling participants to where they need to go. 2 of our dogs are fun like this at the Vets , One is a 60# Hound who is running the other way as he is pulled down the hall to the exam room , he is literally facing the other way legs going as he slides along the floor.. The other is a 180# Dane and well he doesn't go much of anywhere he doesn't want too , I've seen him drag two Vet Techs down the hall towards the entrance ! Their shoes squeaking across the floor as they are dragged by him and of course laughing doesn't help... Thankfully he still thinks I'm stronger than him so will let me force him to go where needed..
And I thought my dog was the only one terrified of the vet, lol, I have to drag her out of the car and into the office, I feel bad, but we have to take care of her health
I have one dog that loves saying hello to everyone, which is good and bad cuz not everyone loves having another animal near their animal and all he wants to do is get pets and play with everyone. Then the other, his best friend, is an anxious wreck. I’ve often brought both together which can be difficult just because she’s more calm. Without him she will whine to the point of humiliation and she’s impossible to examine. I once took her to the pet store to get her nails cut, in a room with glass windows, she was so loud and ridiculous ppl were coming to the windows and just watching out of sheer amazement lol 😂 the groomer was laughing because it was just so bad. I don’t have the guts to take her back there and I can’t cut her nails at home except for one at a time. Lol 😂
3:00 Dachshunds are not pronounced "dash-hounds." It's pronounced "dox-hoonds." They were designed to catch badgers (the "dachs" part of their name) and other burrowing animals, and of course "hund" means dog, in German. You can even find its correct pronunciation on a UA-cam video
Some of these are funny but there's a few that frustrate me which are the ones where the owners and even the veterinary staff are dragging the patient. If was on staff there, that would never happen. Handling and Restraint are two of the basic components in a Veterinary Hospital. Establishing a Fear Free environment is very important and the vet staff here need some retraining. .......from a RVT currently working at a Pet Hospital.
When going to the vet i alays say lets go see friends and the tec love my dog..it is only when we are in a exam room where he gets a little upset but i carry treats at all times
You know I can tell by animals face expressions when the owner says it's time to go to the vet you can tell by animals face expressions there's saying...I'm not going. But this is so funny and hilarious 😆😆😆😆
It's not the size of the dog in the that matters but rather the size of the fight in the dog. I had a small fluffy terrier once and he was the senior out of our dogs and commanded the other dogs that were as big as Rottweiler
You know you done messed up when your fur buddy won't even look at you when you talk to them
The Doxie side eye 😂

I was laughing at this until I remembered I'll be having a 20-minute battle to get my big girl in the car for a vet appointment next week. 😂😂😂
How did it go?
@@adolphaselrah9506 TERRIBLE!!!!!! I know people with big dogs understand when you have a big baby that tries to sit in your lap when you're driving.
@@Nurse_Shelly44 That’s how I expected it to go. Mine is a big boy. You would think he’s very tough but he’s a big baby
My dog loved the vet, because he always gives treats.😂 Every time we went the vets way he pulled us to him. Couldn't wait to get there and get his treats.
So did my GSD. She used to leap out of the car before I could catch her and run inside.
Aww my puppy adores the vet too she loves getting cuddled by the entire staff.
My dogs did the same thing. So, when I see these posts I think, it has more to do with the Vet, and Not the dog.
SAME

My mom was a vet and I was in her clinic a few times. And she also always brought our dogs with her to work. So we never had any vet-problems. 😂
Thank you for every heart every love every gentle that you have for them...
We have a 14 year old Bichon who was the total opposite. He practically jumped into the arms of one particular vet whenever she appeared. I felt surplus to requirements!
I was lucky; my last dog
Moose couldn’t get in that door fast enough. He loved the staff. And I was thankful as he was 125 lbs.
Your dog weighed more than me! 😂

"I choose life" just cracked me up! They are all hysterical and dogs are just the best!! Thank you for posting this!
1:53 you can tell that poor pittie was traumatized in the past. I’m glad that the new owners are loving him and comforting him
Smart dogs. I feel the same way about doctors so I totally avoid them.
Same 🤣🤣.My last visit to the doctor was 20 years ago
Dogs are funny
Dogs are so awesome

Our hundred pound Pit/Mastiff mix would try to crawl under the bench in the waiting room at the vet!🤣
These videos are hilarious. My baby loves going to the vet
Like human Dr.s they go places , NOONE should !!!😂😂
I'll say.
Bet it's worse for those dogs who are ladies having to get their checkup thing in the private area where pups come out.
I've been there myself for that with the human doctor 🫨😶🌫️ never again.
Definitely lol. I worked at a vet and a Great Dane tried to hide. Looked like an elephant hiding behind a tree. 😅

Is funny on clip, but the sad really is that they are scared exactly like the kids 😢
To all dog parents. The secret for them to like the vet is snacks, attention and petting.
The dog at 2mins 20 secs in, stood out there and cussed out the vet that took his family jewels away. Very understandable 😂
Haha my girl loves the vets a staffy lab x
Our huge lurcher Freya would climb on my knee and cry in the waiting area. So embarrassing ☺️
Had to look up Lurcher. Never heard of it before but cool looking dogs!
This is hilarious overload ,laughing at 3:00 am in the morning.😂
One of my dogs loved going to the vet, and so did two of my cats. One cat tried to snoop through cupboards until the vet came in the room.
Hilarious dialogues...You read your kids well😆😆😆💖
Poor fur babies and big Dogs" 🥰😂😹💙♥️

God, Oreo is so cute!
