Thanks for video, appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I now know my HRU216 has a broken shaft, not a gearbox, I will save $ and time and fix my self. Many thanks :)
Good tips, could also mention to us height adjuster to raise and lower to make access better during fitment and should line up uni-knuckle pivots when engaging the spline ( this prevents throwing the attaching pins past the keeper clips).
Great tips, watched most of your videos. Most useful invo out of anyone on youtube. If the dealers really gave a crap they would give you a run down, with maintenance like this when you buy the mower. They would rather rip people of with repaires
@@mowtech7397 Hi, just wondering i had this problem. Mower doesn't lock going back like you said. Tried a new drive shaft and still the same problem. The drive shaft looks like it spinning like normal when I turn the mower on but the self propelled not working. Do you think i should just buy new gearbox. Thanks
Hello, just wondering if you’ve ever lost one of the pins under the rubber boot. I have and wondered if it can be replaced like the two outer pins??? Of is it a whole shaft that is needed? Cheers
Another very good HRU216 tip, cheers.

@@Warzone_Strategies It does sound like you have a gearbox problem if you have already replaced the drive shaft. Check your cable adjustment first
23 years of mowing never broken one ......until tomorrow lol
I just brought a OEM driveshaft & it did not come with new pins or clips,I lost one of the clips
