Mate just a comment on your timemaster belts tension video. (comments are turned off on it). I tried slackening off the blade engage as you suggest, just a little, even less than you suggest however I noticed an immediate lack of performance. In even slightly long grass the blade speed would almost drop to standstill. engine revs still sounded the same so I suggest the belt was just slipping. Tightened it back up as it was and it was cutting like a beast again. So DO NOT have this belt slack, I suspect the having it slipping all the time would also wear it out even quicker
Your Hondas look very different than ours in the states. Honda quit making them last year here so you can only get them in Australia and Europe I believe . They used to make ours in North Carolina. We will never have them again . All the blame falls on liberals in California . Lawsuits over safety and emissions. In the states we all hate California and New York for these things they do that affect the rest of us. I bought 2 HRX217HXAs new in the box still no plans to open for quite a while . Just bought and assembled a HRC216DPH . I may drive up to Canada from Florida where I found 5 HRCs for sale . The HRCs really are the best with the GX motor and the added shaft drive to their incredible hydrostatic transmission.
Raising revs lowers durability, as told to me by a Honda small engine engineer. Imagine that, garden cutters vs the advice of the some of the best small engine designers that perhaps ever existed. Don't be silly, leave your expensive mower as it was intended to be by the people you respect for making the legendary product you sought.
Hey Greg, do you happen to have a link for the snorkel kit for Hru216? I can’t seem to find one, and my local mower shop apparently isn’t allowed to sell me one due to emissions laws.
My gearbox is 3 years old, I know guys who have never blown a gearbox in 10 years, I also know gearboxes that blow in 2 years...its all how you treat them
Hi, my hru216 start first pull anytime but when i engage the throttle to start nmowing, the engine not eun full speed, i saw the throttle cable is bending and not very tigh, do u think the cable is damage or i just need to tighten it up?? Thanks
