- We used no time lapses on this video making it the longest video we ever made. We have had several people saying that they wished we would not use time laps and to let the video play normally. We used no time lapses but I still had to cut a lot out. I hope this makes you happy and I hope you enjoy the video. Be sure to tell me what you like or don't like. Post any requests in the comment box. Thanks!
Looking forward to spring here in Maine.. got me a few great deals this winter on some sweet bikes.. can't wait to hit the 'Sunrise Trail' .. if you've never heard of it.. it's a trail that goes from Ellsworth Maine practically all the way to Canada.. it's old railroad where the tracks have been removed so mostly flat all the way with plenty of little stores and stops along the way.. it's a true treasure for us here in Maine.. just one of MANY in this great State 🐋🐳 🦀 🦞 🐟 🦌 🫎
Liked seeing more details.
Great video J.
Oregon approves..
I learned a ton from it.
I like that tool for the break never knew that existed thanks for the new knowledge bro 🚲🛟
I’d like to see u build one of the 2 stroke motorized bike kits maybe a build off and race with cars and cameras 🏆
I know you’re brother has some I’ve seen them in the back ground of a old video many years ago be I’ve always wanted to see a video on them be pretty sweet 🚲💨
Great video and nice bike. Hopefully, he finds the original fork, but if not he's should still be happy with the results.
Thank you.👍
You should build and design your own bike!🚴♂️🚲
I'm working on it.👍
May i recommend welding on a part of tubing on to the fork to extend the length while keeping everything original
You can also grind down the top part of the steering tube to composite for length in a extreme case
We can have it professionally welded but it will need to be repainted costing over $300 and the paint will not match. That is why we went with this fork. It is the exact shape and most people would not notice that it is new. Thanks for the suggestion.👍
the actual work on the bike is the most interesting stuff. Not a huge fan of the time lapse stuff.
Is it considered unsafe to clamp the stem on the threaded part of a steerer tube?
Yes. Do not do that. It's more likely to fail due to the cut threads. It is reinforced with the quill stem. When you use a threadless stem it puts different forces on the steer tube. I hope you figure out your project.👍
What kind of grease do you recommend? 10:24
ParkTool polylube or PPL-2.👍
