So great to hear someone thinking exactly the same as me….SW works well but people do need to understand you can’t eat tonnes of pasta and rice just because they are free! This is one point where SW gets slated online and I don’t quite understand why they don’t at least put a ‘recommended’ weight to have for those who easily overeat on these foods. The bad press would diminish pretty quickly….oh, apart from solid/mashed bananas 😂Good luck with your weight loss xx
You forgot the fact they’d rather you eat 10 of those grim mug shot things than a piece of toast 😂
You definitely still need to be mindful of portions even when it comes to more high calorie fruits. Don’t get me started on mash bananas 🤣🤣 xx
This is amazing! I have been dilly-dallying with different plans and have just gone back to SW online so this is perfect for me! I can't wait! 8am on a Saturday is good for me. x
I start back at SW on Thursday evening can’t wait I have a lot of weight to lose here for the long haul We got this 💪🏻
Totally agree Danielle I'm jumping in here before I've even finished the video . But calorie counting gave me way too much freedom .. some days I'd just eat total rubbish but stay below my calories . I went back to sw last week ..lots of luck x

Good on you, it is a really good diet no real counting & working out apart from syns . Im neally on my 3 stone loss . I have normal sized portions and think before i eat. Will enjoy following you again. Just try and stick with it ❤❤

Welcome back to SW! I hit target but have drifted out of target range by 6lbs and I am now working hard to get back in. I used to be an online member because I live overseas. 8am UK is 11am here so I won't always be available but I will join if I can. I realise that I still need some accountability if I am going to stay in my target range. Good luck!

Totally agree! I found the same. On calorie counting I just tended towards unhealthier foods and treats. SW gives me a healthy framework and it works.
Sw is brilliant I've lost nearly 2 Stone now and I need 1.5lb tomorrow to get my next stone award fingers crossed. Goid luck on your sw journey xx

Ah fair play. It does work for me and I lose a lot of weight each week on sw but I find it hard to keep up. I do calorie counting just because I find it easier but I do lose slower.

You can’t beat SlimmingWorld I have tried them all, sick to portion size it tells you on pasta, rice, even cottage cheese, yogurt cartons what a single portion is.
I would love to attend, but i would have to check the time difference first.

I've not seen many of your updates as I stepped away from SW meetings for a while and knew you'd switched to cc. I agree that cc is useful but it does get a bit faffy when strictly adhering to a cc plan daily. I do the same as you when it comes to poor food choices when cc. It feels like a license to eat junk. That said, despite falling off the SW wagon I've been mostly sticking to the guidelines from the starter books, doing the plan at home, seeing it as a lifestyle more than diet and I've maintained my initial weight loss of a stone from when I first joined SW. I can't say I've lost anymore but that's because I had loads of ice cream and pizza recently when I was ill and not wanting to cook. I also struggled with over eating bread when I first came off low carb but it's levelled out a bit now. By now I would normally have regained more weight with rebound sugary binges, so for me this is progress. Having such low cal foods as staples alongside any cheat days has at least buffered the damage. Like you I'm finally learning where to curb the free/higher cal foods. I've also noticed that even when I do have an off plan meal or even day, I'm still mindful of calories whereas before SW I'd be all or nothing, undoing any prior good work. I'm older than you so I'm skipping the pasta and potatoes etc until I'm closer to my goal, to get back in the swing of it. I have my Bolognese with white cabbage noodles and cottage pie with cauliflower mash etc, getting creative with flavourings. The small calorie saves add up, which is the part I used to ignore. I can't make the live meet but I might check in a bit more now you're back to SW eating. I hope the weekly meet goes well for you.

I am the same as you with regards to calories, have you tried ww (weight watchers) which i feel is a combination of sw and cc? good luck ❤x

You know I’m exactly the same with calorie counting just eating rubbish. I still like a sweet treat in the evening. Weighing everything can be really stressful. Im the same with the portion of pasta and rice. If I’m making pasta for work - I weigh out around 75g dry pasta - saying I’m not weighing lol 😂 but it helps sometimes. You’re like me in your thinking I’ve always thought that watching you. Also I try and have more protein with all my meals. The live ❤sounds great 😊 at 8.00 am. I have weigh in at 9 so that will be perfect. This will be great 😊
