How does this work without the Mir effect ? Because I don't have it, I just want to apply the radio wave effect on one object but I really don't know how !

I managed to follow everything up to the blurring of the waves. When I increased the blurriness, the actual waves on the flag became sort of pixelated, why is that?
Have you checked your Bit depth? AE standard bit depth is set to 8-bit. In the tutorial it is set to 16 bit which gives much more depth to color values. Look for 16 bpc in blue text just above the layers section.
Cool in my company they bought Trapcode suite i usually just use Colorista, Looks, Particular, Denoiser, cool trick but i think its easier just do a flag in 3D and add wind, you may have way more control over the flag and cooler angles, i recently watched a video on Mir 3 which allow you to import 3D objects and add textures, shading and enviroment which is cool, but i you could import a OBJ sequence that would take Mir to another level as i could import 3D animations into after for better compositting, another thing is im trying to figure whats the limit in the textureand materials in Mir3 could you import Normal and Specular maps?
I'm using Mir 3, id there a difference? I'm not getting anything near what you are coming out with, same settings. Also i have a lot of details such as points and lines where as in the tuturial you have none, it's just a clean wavy flag....I tried on my macbook and I can't even get this far.

You may be running into a known issue that we're releasing a maintenance update for later this week - although just to be sure, we recommend either reverting back to Mir version 3.0.3 or checking out the project file for the above tutorial which can be downloaded right here: redgiant.com/tutorial/episode-107-create-a-waving-flag/
@@MaxonRedgiant I have installed Maxon App versions 2025, 2024, and 2023, as well as various versions of the Trapcode Suite from version 17 to the latest. However, it still indicates that Mir 3 is missing, even though the other missing effect messages disappeared after installing the plugins. Could you please help? 🙏
Hi, I cannot have a smooth render like you have. The Trapcode Mir 3 version gives me a "polygonal" render or at best an "aliasing" render and I can't do otherwise but asking for help here. Welcoming any help :(
This is not a tutorial. Using a black AE background for a black solid where a black mask is applied to, while Harry is mumbling and we're desperately trying to keep up his speed...uhm.. I understand that for a lot of people it was obvious,- but there are thousands who came here to learn and we ( I ) found this way too fast to call this a tutorial.

I am using MIR 3 and nothing is happening ive done everything like how it is exolain though please help

make sure your comp is at 16bit... you will get lot of artifacts otherwise!

unfortunately not working for me becoz ... it requires Effects LOOK, MIR, TRAPCODE isn't there

With the smooth setting, you should be able to achieve something that doesn't look faceted.

Mir does respond to cameras (and lights) in AE, yes.
