This is an absolutely brilliant tutorial, concise, to the point and easy to follow. Thank you! I ended up creating a much simpler animation as I was briefed to create a flat colour visual style, but I followed your tutorial through to the end because it was so good 🙂
much better demo than another guy that went into the expressions and just kept typing expressions and didnt show the expressions very well and it failed.. this was easy thank you
My flag is an image (not a solid) and it measures 1500 x 1080. Once I apply the first effect, on the left edge. The left part of the flag keeps moving and does not remain static. What am I doing wrong?
I just made my own version of your faux bottle rotation. I'm going to try this now. Your tutorials are great for beginners. Great quality and easy to understand.
This is an amazing tutorial! Quick question: When I add wave warp to my flag, it almost looks like the flag gets cut off, almost like it's in a bounding box that's not giving it enough room? Have you experienced that before?
Wanted to thank you for a great vid. Helped a lot. I've been trying to get going in both soft soft and didn't get very far. TNice tutorials vid helped a
Hello! Great tutorial! I am working on an animation and this is really helpful! In my project, the flag is attached to a person, and I want these two to transform in scale together, and also the flag still waving. I believe this is possible, but I am an apprentice in after effects and I am just trying to learn! If you have the time and you can give me some tips on how to do that I would really appreciate it! If not that's ok, the tutorial itself is really helpful & awesome! Thanks!

You would have to precompose the flag and then parent it to the persons hand. That way it moves with him
