The last time I saw this plant of yours it was so small, I can't believe how much it has grown wow!!!!!!! Yoli is so cute at the beginning too. Hoping I can apply these tips to my own Anth. Pally! Thanks Claire
I was looking at one of my plants and stepped backwards, bumping into my pallidiflorum (he hangs) and ripped the brand new, super fragile and super long leaf right off 😭😭😭😭 I feel you with the unfortunate damage, I was soooooo sad. This anthurium is honestly the most easygoing one in my collection. Yours is so pretty!
Yay I’m so happy you did a care guide for this one! I got mine back in February, and I have it in moss in a vanda basket. It dries out quickly but seems to be ok with my set up - it’s flowered and put out 2 leaves since then. I’m going to try increasing the light!!
Hi Claire. So excited for this video. I got mine as a started plant. Had 2 or 3 leaves. The first new leaf to come in for me sized up to 2x size of others. It’s pushing its 3rd now. Not the fastest grower- but I sure do love watching it. It’s now acclimated to room air and doing well. I keep it about 10 inches from my Barrina a lil shaded by another anthurium. I’m just so scared I’ll over water! It’s in a small ice cream cup with coco coir, chips, bark, perlite, and tree fern. I think I will change it to tree fern, perlite, and bark with some worm castings like you said. BTW, I miss your late nite chat and repots! I have learned so much from you and you continue to inspire me! You are a natural plant mom, teacher, and u tuber!
What great timing for this helpful video! I just bought an Anthurium Wendlingeri yesterday (a very similar species). I am excited to watch its grow, and continue to learn about its behavior!
I use a tape for my fingers sometimes when climbing and I have one in green color - would look so much nicer for taping the leaf back together 😂 Thanks for the video ❤
I really enjoyed your post I’m a fan now ☺ I love this plant, I have three 🤔🤨. Your advised has helped me so much & im repotting them to give them the best I can … As we in Sydney Australia are just going into spring so amazing growth is expected ☺🙏
That has happened to the best of us. I remember doing the same with my epipremnum pinnatum except I dropped it while I was carrying down the stairs! 😲😖
I love long leaf anthuriums … I have very cold and rather dark ( mainly north ) flat … I’m worried that it will not survive, but as soon as we done with renovation I’m getting at least one ;-)
LOL@ sellotape. I've got cling film around a petiole on my Pink Princess that almost completely snapped off when trying to release a stuck new leaf. I'm hoping a couple of weeks covered will prompt the plant to heal. It probably wont, but I'm going to try.
Hi Claire, my name is June, I just found your channel and I am also quite addicted to growing avocado and lemon tree plants! I want to know do you have any Desert Rose plants and if you don't you have to start growing them !! They are truly magical! I always manage to kill them somehow though lol! Are you still managed to have one seed that has grown and I am so dedicated to making this plant live live live live! LOL let me know if you're interested I know they are called the Adenium Obsesum, aka Desert Rose 🌹
Hi Claire I bought this plant twice from ecuagenera they both struggled the second one has no original roots and the leaves although still green are still curled inwards. I’ve tried her in pon moss peelings and now water. Ive had her 3 months and she is just started to grow water roots 2 leaves are starting to uncurl the third no change. Should I keep all leaves for now?
I have two of these, both in semi-hydro with wicks. They've both given me leaves but one is staying small while the other is sizing up nicely. I want to try potting them together, but I'm concerned I'll unsettle the larger one... Any suggestions are quite welcome! P. S. My vittarifolium, after doing nothing for over 6 months, is giving me two leaves in less than a month! I think sometimes they just need to get settled in their environments... 💚
Sun filtered though a window is never what is considered "direct sun" but instead would be what's called "bright indirect light". Direct sun is sunlight that is not filtered through a window or simply outside.

I got one in the mail not very long ago, I absolutely LOVE it! The newest leaf is double the size of the previous leaf

Mine to
Great Anthurium to keep I love mine in-fact I loved it so much I had to buy another and then another. You need a narrow form Claire they are lovely ❤
I also use Polysporin on my plants wounds... works great :) Also on infected teeth and in capsuls for internal stuff... for humans :)
When you have a broken stem. Use a straw like a splint. 75% of the time it works. Depending on break. It's worked for me a couple of times

I just picked up a pallidiflorum, I will try your advise.💚

I want one of those - if only I had more room! 💚💚💚
I'm so tempted to get one now 😬
I absolutely love your videos. What do you use to shine your leaves?
I just ordered one yesterday

I just got a tiny one. I hope it does well

Sorry this plant reminds me of long socks hanging on one them circle peg lines 😂😂😂
By some miracle I got a baby one at a plant swap last week 🎉 and it’s teeny tiny but I’ve been dreaming about it for years!

Wow! She has really sized up! Mine gets crispy at the tips. What am I doing wrong?

This looks small in comparison to how it looks now. My mind hath been boggled.
First to view

It looks better without that ridiculous sellotape
