Man, what a kick ass song from their early days! The vibe and Eddie's tone are just magical. Oh what i would give to time warp back and follow them through their club days, must have been quite an experience.
For my money this is their best unreleased track. "Eyes of Night" was apparently supposed to be part one of a two-part suite, with "House of Pain" being the other section.
There are parts very reminiscent of Budgie and I know VH played some tunes by the Welsh rockers. Influences? Great track though, should definitely turn up on the next album.
Nice quality post of this one. Did you clean this one up? It is the same recording, but sounds better than the recording on my official unofficial "eyes of the night" cd.
I notice that all of Daves melodies untouched by the brass at WB or Ted Templeman are very monotone and mundane, And he uses the three same melodies for every song.
U know ur great when u leave jams like this off of ur albums, the stuff VH never released is better then most bands best material
One of the King's best intros; shows how amazing he has always been...

Man! Eddie was 21... Amazing.
They were badass from the start.

Such a good riff and breakdown, this song was also sometimes played with “Forced Entry” as a “rock opera.”
Also loooove the house of pain demo...just killing it!! cmon VH fans for even more!

The sequel to 'A Different Kind of Truth' is meant to have this song as it's leading track (I hope they produce a new record).
Nice quality post of this one. Did you clean this one up? It is the same recording, but sounds better than the recording on my official unofficial "eyes of the night" cd.
CALIFORNIA whoooo

interesting, which one's are the same? I mean could you group some songs that are the same?
got that James gang riff
The opening intro to this song sounds very familiar. Has the song been reworked into another song by the band... anyone?
Loosely reminds me of romeo delight
sounds very influenced by ZZ Tops waiting for the bus
The Studio version is Much better. But this is great LIVE
