I love the whole album, covers and all. My 2nd favorite behind VH ll. My favorite song on Diver (if I had to choose) would be "Full Bug", it's VH hitting on all cylinders.
bwdrums1 hey man. Yeah I love this LP too. Was the 2nd VH album I ever bought after first getting 1984 when it came out. I kinda got their LPs backwards. Lol. Full Bug is a great tune, I love its energy. Part of the driving force of that song is that Alex is doing double kick? Secrets is still my favorite. I think challenge wise from a guitarists standpoint (most guitarists would argue this w me) the most difficult Ed Piece to play on the LP is the intro to Hang Em High. Sounds easy enough but it’s all alternative picking and unless you’re really good at that’s its gonna sound like shit. And I know what you mean about the covers. They’ve all been Halenized and are great in their own right, altho my least fav cover is Dancin in the Street. When I was much younger and I wanted to get charged I used to stand in front of my speakers and just about max out my volume, then I’d play the intro buildup into Where Have All the Good Times Gone. I never knew exactly how loud it would be at times with the cymbal sizzle and guitar volume swell but it was always so awesome to just hear my ears crack at the drums and guitar opening, and then when the bass and full drums hit it was like an awesome explosion of Van Halen-y crunchy goodness!

That double neck Eddie is playing is a fascinating guitar. Also, I never really noticed this before, but that solo on "Secrets" reminds me of Jeff Beck.
Thanks for sharing this one, really great sound and performance .... like that double neck ... a hint to Jimmy Page for sure :) Only 2 where ever made, by Paul Unkert while he was working at the Kramer factory
Robert Whyst uh rosewood? Kramer didn’t use any real wood on aluminum necks. The top neck is a 12 string, not sure what rhythm you would play? Old ledbelly?
Robert Whyst I like how you put words in my mouth, is that why when you called me a moron it does not appear here? Travis Bean did not make the necks for Kramer. Kaiser Aluminium made them for Kramer. I doubt that Travis Bean had a foundry either. Check your sources, if you can’t see the aluminum neck on this guitar is set ups as a 12 string, get your eyes checked, you are missing out on lots of shit.
Just disputing you claim that Kramer did not use real wood on aluminum necks, which is untrue. I've seen them with walnut and maple inserts, as well as other woods. It wasn't done for tone; it was done to a) make the neck lighter than the solid aluminum on a Travis Bean, and b) give the neck a more "natural" not cold feel.
