that last part on the spotlight affect really helped so much im only a month into riding and sometimes feel like i’m being stared at or judged lol i think it really is just all in my head
I've been commuting on it - granted I only go to the office 2-3 days a week, but still find excuses to run errands etc. Having a daily routine with it helps a lot. Did over 600 miles in 1 month. What gets me is being unsure how far I can lean the bike over. Can tell I definitely take turns slower than necessary. I got pushed into a wall on 395/695 in DC... SUV made a triple lane change into me in 1 move. Gunned it to get ahead of him, but then there was a curve and I didn't have the confidence to lean the bike over and take it. Feels like I could have made it if I committed to the turn and leaned over. Instead I hit the brakes while still straight, attempted to take the turn and probably skidded along the wall around 35-40 mph. 1 fairing gouged up and about 2 dimes worth of road rash on my knee (armor didn't cover that spot). So I got away with minimal damage... didn't rear end the SUV... didn't get sandwiched by the car behind me... Just wish I had more confidence leaning the bike over and sending it through that turn.
im glad you were able to essentially walk away from that man , sorry to hear! yeah, i find that at the beginning the whole "leaning mechanic" takes getting used to especially as a brand new beginner.
gotta ride that thang more to get confidence. Ive put 6k on my new bike the last two months. I didnt feel like I was super comfortable with the bike til like 3k miles..
yo Jack i really appreciate the support bro! its a 2018 CBR600RR with 37, thats right 37,000 miles and still going strong! Again, really appreciate the support!
Whats your opinion on the r9 being a first bike, im taking my msf course soon, and just planning for the future, I plan on getting it anyways, But still would love your opinion
@@neerskii I think it really would make a great first bike, just be aware that if it is truly your first bike, you will most likely end up dropping it. So in conclusion, I think it's a great bike if you're okay with dropping a brand new bike, because it will happen.
@ haha Figured, Truly im very impatient so i think ima just get a cheap r6 or r7 on fb marketplace to learn bc honestly i would hate dropping the r9 and its new so parts will be limited for a while… So yeah great point i will not be getting it first but surely once i get the hand of my first than straight to the dealer😂
