Not sure why, but this is one of my favorite jiujitsu videos I’ve watched in a long time. I really appreciate how you show the progressions. The narration of your rolls is on point with an almost play by play with first person account. Well done and please do more of these!
Props to all the BJJ players involved here. The first Miyao brother's sprawl into an Ippon Seoi Nage (over the shoulder Judo throw) was a thing of brilliance and beauty. The second brother's throw where he was kicking you up and over his shoulder is called the Yoko Tomoe Nage (side circular or side wheel if you prefer Judo throw). Some brilliant stuff on display on all your parts, really. Thanks for sharing.
I had to go back and look and it was difficult to tell but while I agree the first throw was Ippon Seoi Nage, I would say the second was Morote Seoi Nage. Just one hand vs two. But this was a great video.
The Miyao brothers actually started in Judo in their youth before switching to BJJ so their Judo is pretty decent when they actually use it(not very much).
You are very much a complete combat sports athlete. Pro level striking and very advanced submission grappling. One of the most unassuming and accomplished younger guys on UA-cam. Respect.
@@MMAShredded You are far from average, but I know what you mean. My coach fought in the UFC 8 times, and I feel like a child when I roll with him. We laugh a lot which is the beauty of BJJ. I am a 55 year old blue belt BTW.
That's so cool to see! Love the showing of difference at the beginning and in later stages. It's so fascinating to see how high level BJJ is like a super power, where what would work on others, doesn't work on them, and they can make things work on you that other's couldn't.
Your gas tank is impressive! Everyone is so skilled, but you had some interesting exchanges with Thomas. And Omar has next level restraint with the way he rolled you - he seems like a great person and Professor.
Super super super quality content. One of those moments you realize how deep the jiu jitsu ocean is. Jeff is not an average bjj guy, he’s being humble. He’s a super athletic and pretty technical, talented BROWN belt and these legends are so easy with him. I only rolled with 4-5 black belts until this point and they were old or non competitive guys but man… They were true magicians. I can’t imagine how good are this kind of legends. Thanks for the great video, very good job with the editing.
Love how aggressive you are on your feet with your shots. Being a wrestler transitioning into bjj it’s annoying how much a lotta bjj guys stall so seeing you create so much action is refreshing. Keep it up brother
You should take these as a win. To make the Miyao brothers and AJ work as hard as they did, get some good positions, not get tapped much, etc is a huge accomplishment in and of itself especially since it's the gi. That's crazy. These are world champion ADCC guys. They would tap me in every 4 seconds with their eyes closed. You're much more high level than I thought.
You're a strong guy. Those were high intensity rounds. I was impressed by the Miyao brothers' judo too. I have never seen that side of them. Nice video. Thanks.
yeah, they rarely show their Judo in BJJ but they actually started in Judo and have Judo black belts before they switched to BJJ 20 years ago. There also 3rd generation Brazilian Japanese.
Oh, man! That had to be ultra tough, but also quite the experience to grapple with several legends. This is more proof that there are levels to this art. Thank you very much for this treat.
A hobbyist brown-belt here and what a treat to see all of these beautiful rolls! Nothing but the utmost respect to you for diving deeeeeep with some killer rounds with matching killer narration! I can say without a doubt you'd submit me without even breaking a sweat. Awesome content. You got a new subscriber with me 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Man this was so cool to watch. I have honestly never felt more inspired to train gi. I recently got back to gi and this just made me excited for the week of training ahead. Great job on the voiceover play by plays throughout, Jeff!
I think that last Baratoplata from Joao was actually the Tarikoplata. Similar submission, but different configuration with the legs. It's so cool to see the Miyaos hit take downs, they're awesome.
Dude, this is the best fucking jiujitsu video i have seen in about ten years!!!! It is very humbling to see your aggressive technical Jitz get shut down by these monsters you are rolling with. Your moves are right on the money with the angles and speed with which you move into position...It's funny how ones game goes up a notch once the speed and power gets thrown into the equation, but then gets blocked when the blackbelts match the pace. Beautiful video mate, please make more. Much love from Sydney Australia.
Great video! Excellent rolls but 5:18 this submission is actually called the Tarikoplata it’s like the cousin to the Baratoplata and was popularized by Tarik Hopstock
I have never seen the Miyao borthers display this level of proficiency in throws before, and not only that, but they were actually aggressive with their passing and didn't do any of their typical berimbolo stuff off their back.
Awesome video! Nick Albin (Chewjitsu) posted a video awhile ago of him rolling with JT Torres. You can tell Chewy is giving it his all, while JT is just casually practicing. Fun, but not fun all in one.🤣
Dude, first time in this channel, SICK video, great format to keep building on, very informative and entertaining! You held your own against these monsters!
Been a minute since I've seen Jeff's videos. I've only seen his stand up and "heard" he was a brown belt but didn't realize how good he is at BJJ. No shame in getting it on with the black belts...mad respect.
Amazing all around! You are incredible shape, I gassed out watching 3 rounds. It was a pleasure watching the different levels on display and you were no slouch against the black belts either. Thanks!
Lots of killers at the gym. Was never really a fan of the Miyao brother's style, but they are like aggressive little raptors in this video. Definitely a fan in this video. Absolutely masterful. Awesome edit! You looked great!
this type of rolls is a great reality check. helps you also to get better seeing you are still shit and you got long ways to go! the more your ego is crushed the more you'll become a better version of yourself. awesome video mate
I was a fairly above average white belt, and when I got promoted to blue belt, I did my first couple of tournaments at intermediate, but then tried expert. My first expert tournament, I submitted the first guy, then rolled with who I found out later was a IBJJF Pan-American champ at purple. The difference in skill was just insane.
Damn. This is inspirational. Someone as good as you getting tapped by higher level players. Such a high level to achieve still. BJJ is a lifelong pursuit that's for sure.
Jeff I have been following you mainly on Instagram for awhile now and every so often catch some of your content here on UA-cam. Absolutely loved this video, you're a beast bro. If you're ever in the Tampa Bay area you should drop in at my gym for some rolls, think you'd enjoy the culture here. I'm just an old and broken blue belt, but I'd love to roll with you one day. Keep pumping out that content! The commentary is very helpful!
I was REALLY impressed with your performance with Agazarm. I mean, I know sparring is not competition and he probably did not play it all that seriously but still, damn nice work
Once I saw the time line and read Miyao..... I didn't have to see that to know what that was going to look like. Going back to back with the Miyao's must feel like heaven and hell at the same time. You learn so much while getting spanked, but then you realize how much levels there are to BJJ. Those brothers are insane good and two of my favs.
I've been following you for a while Jeff but I must say this is one of the best videos that I have seen. My personal input to you is pleeeeez make more BJJ videos. Maybe you did BJJ guides before I was a subscriber but either the point still stands. My opinion this is one of your best videos that I have seen.
I appreciate your feedback man, I'll try to make more grappling videos. I will admit, the views on BJJ videos are significantly less which motivates me less to make!
incredible rolls! ive recently started taking jiujitsu and seeing how far people can take the sport is extremely fascinating. Your a beast man! But those guys were freaks of nature!! great video new sub
Very very cool video. I love it when an extremely skilled fighter is willing to show the different levels people have to their game. This is going in my favorites.

Don’t forget Jeffs takedown game, it’s good.
Agree
What belt does @mmashredded have? He should have tapped that blackbelt and did very well against purple and brown belts!
Gives us all hope.

Their judo was surprisingly very good
Just having a roll with those BJJ monsters is a privilege and absolutely great learning experience
