Thanks for having me, guys! This conversation really helped me understand the decisions I make in my process. Storytelling is the coolest thing ever.
I love you so much. I am veritas. Me encantas Luke, I swore you. Saludos desde Lima Perú, I love you.
Congatulations Luke, I love you.
hell yeah
THANKS TO YOUR EXISTENCE. ALL TURN IN COMPLICATED. STILL WITH ME.
This was incredible! Loved seeing this side of UA-cam highlighted!
This doesn’t just relate to travel content, this relates to almost any creator! Luke has some great insight into editing by feel and how to tell a great story about someone while also interjecting your thoughts and emotions! Loved this!
Hayden, If you are reading this, please complete your editing course. I want to buy from you
I was literally just looking for it
I too. Hayden, please make editing course 🙏 I ready to buy it for any price

Amazed at how well Hayden was able to articulate Lukes emotive process and in doing so summarise some very important lessons for editors. Listen to your heart. Thanks for this episode. Thoroughly enjoyed it ❤
This is a huge lesson for me personally. I've been so much focused on the details and events that happen on track, yet I've rarely showcased the emotions or replicate the emotions I feel at the track through editing. You've given me a better insight into how I can share my journey through motorsports and I'm really appreciative of that. Thank you.
This views on this episode are criminally low!! Great job guys keep crushing it 🔥
I think this way my favorite episode so far! Luke has such great intuition and emotional intelligence. Really cool to see what he's doing. Also totally stealing Haden's post-it note system. I was thinking of doing a whiteboard+markers but I love the post-it note. I'm very macro/bigger picture orientated, and very visual, I also like the physical tactility of writing and moving post it notes. Great vid.
This podcast is seriously amazing! You guys do an incredible job of diving into the thought process of creators! SO VALUABLE! ❤
Yet another golden breakdown from you guys! So many solid tips to help content creators to put more heart and authenticity into their storytelling 👏✨
Been a fan of Luke Korns' work and been watching his videos for years. Loved this interview! You both did such a good job on analysis, reflections, all amazingly apt. Keep up the great work all!
probably one of the only youtubers i care about. a damn shame he doesn't upload more, his outlook and artistry inspire me deeply.
I started travelling full time 3 weeks ago, will listen/watch this now and I can’t wait to see what I walk away with!!!
Amazing video as always brother, and this was one of the BEST EPISODES YET!
I hadn't seen Luke in my feed for years then the passport video popped up a couple months ago. Had a very nice binge session, I really love his work.
Love this episode even though I’ve never watched any of Luke’s videos. The editor’s commentary makes me appreciate him as an artist!
This is pure gold! The will definitely be rewatching later with a pen and paper later
This was really insightful. Cheers for sharing it! Stay safe, have fun! 👍😁
I've been watching Luke's videos since he was a kid. Even then he had an incredible confidence and relatability.
So excited to finish this because I’m documenting my travels as well without all the cinematic drone shots. Already got so many good bits from this.
I love lukes videos sooo much, amazing pod guys!
I really love what you guys are doing here! One thought, watch out for door knobs growing out of the guest’s microphone. I only bring it up because I know you care about the details. Thanks so much for all the great content.
I LOVE watching Luke Korn's videos.. he just does it right!
Always have a safe travel luke!!!
Some title suggestions cause I LOVE the content but didn’t realize this was initially with Luke. 1. The guy who cracked the Travel Edit 2. The Travel Edit That Will Get You Views 3. The Secret Behind Amazing Travel Channels
Hope this helps! Keep up the good work 😊
This really is the best Podcast for UA-cam editors
Luke! loved this convo. I do the same I try to always portray how I felt in the video, because I wanna watch the video and remember the emotions. And same with music ahaha it's such a FEELING
Love this!
Great work lads 🎉
Thank you in particular for the Greenland related heads up after my own depression/s-word attempt related experiences, Raza :)
He is an incredible storyteller!
That was awesome!
This is really nice- a different type of channel. More down to earth. Not the usual hi energy big impact video. Best thing is this shows how to do down to earth in a very interesting way.
I love the final idea..explains a lot...
Here is mi thought
It is okay to learn práctical or tecnical skillss, but the best is going to come out from deep inside..only if you are conpletely focused in your present moment task...
That is when creativity arises...not when ypu have your focus in theory a, or theory, b , in the resulta or whatsoever
what an episode! best one yet!
I love this podcast!
I remember watching his video & loving the editing. Subscribed. Thought he has an editor but I’m wrong. Thanks for this interview, cutting it piece by piece for our learning. I have 20 minutes in but need to leave. Will go back to it more later 🙏🏼😊
I'm officially addicted to this channel!
Gracias!
19:00...it's "the thing under the thing" (Story Greenlight)! Great video...!
Luke you are so inspiring❤️❤️
learned a lot
Wow great podcast 😮❤
amazing insight
Amazing talent
Notes That I learn :
What is a better story in it?
Surface story
Deeper Story
record long talking
(get a sentence in it)
(put some narative)
(Show)
voiceover as reflection???
Feeling for edits?
Thinking on Head
Thinking on Feeling
Favorite parts = put in wall : sticky notes
can move around it.
Young talent
Fingers crossed!
Next content idea how to make a showreel that standout
letsgoooooo luke
For hiring, one idea could be working with someone at the same time to help process ideas, analogous to the podcast chat here. They could ask good questions or help to put into words the editing strategy so that in the future someone could be able to (mostly) edit with your style and level of quality.
LK is in my top 5 all time UA-cam Icons to watch and as an editor i practice his editing style, emotional direction and i also play it by ear but i would be straight up nervous to edit a LK episode and try and put the emotion he does into it without F#&$^n it up, much love fellas
Drop a post it note story tutorial or episode
You guy should interview Natalie Lynn
Using Voice Over as a tool to clean up and summarize . Allows you to remove v certain cut and help flow things into a new sequence
how do you do it? is anybody have here good link for a tutorial?
Is the thumbnail using midjourney images?
I see you, thumbnail swap!
He says fast moving content, but i just watched this guy moving a chair for 6 minutes on a 8 minute vlog. podcasts are just over glorification of what ever goes viral these days. there's no secret formula 😂
OMG! Can you say "Total Fan Boy Worship Session"? 🙄😆
A bit too complicated Title...
My dad watches Luke religiously.
Your dad is cool. 😎
@@EditingPodcast very.
Kind of a modern Casey Neitstat
First
too rushed for me
No pages left in a passport and he's going to Casablanca to get a new passport? Chancers are they wouldn't let him enter because of that technicailty. This smells funny.
just watch his video mate
This podcast it is BORING but is not true land is boring
I think next you should call in podcast for @heyxnatalie (aka Natalie Lynn)
