I find it quite impressive that with HBO he started vlogging before UA-cam, so many vloggers today still try to replicate his style, quite influential. Awesome video highlighting this!
I'm not sorry for the dude's departure from the main UA-cam arena. I found him one irritating individual. Watching Casey opening boxes of expensive camera gear, and then deliberately and carelessly, he would slam it down really hard on the table (not just camera gear either) I found to be cringeworthy and offensive in the extreme ! 👎🏻Companies threw their products at this guy all day long, and he didn't have to return anything sent to him ! Toward the end, Casey really turned into this uber cynical, decadent jerk ! 👎🏻 There wasn't an ounce of humility in the guy, and I'm not missing him in the least.🤮
it's insane that in the middle of videos about huge directors and famous movies there's a video about a youtuber. really shows that youtube can be a platform for filmmaking too.
I have no idea who this guy is (I don't like vlogs) but this is a great analysis of vlogging and how to tell a story in that kind of format effectively.
Hi, Big fan of you videos man, espeically since i want to start doing video work. My question is could you possibly do a video on arthur jafa. i think it would be really cool to incorporate video art since you have now incorporated some like casey neistat, possibly someone like chris marker as well.
I really liked that one! Some really good ideas in there! It started me thinking though, what's your take on music video makers? -- since they have the challenge of creating a story arc in just a few minutes while having to follow the rigid pacing of the song's musical structure. Personally I've found some really great creative ideas from watching music videos.
you have become one of my favorite film production related channels, i always learn a lot from the way you explain things !

Casey is a legend. Few people defined todays UA-cam Like him
On point as usual. 💪💪

He made a famous documentary short and an HBO series before becoming a youtuber.
@@Tetsuito i know 😅. he's my biggest inspiration. i probably watched every single vlog
Duh! It has long been.
@@Tetsuito what is the name of documentary?
@@rofi3930 The Neistat Brothers
He looks like an extrovert. I think I'll pass...
So good that he's back in NYC making vlogs again!!
There's something about his vlogs, sometimes I find myself binging all his old videos and they are still fun and sortof relaxing to me
Casey was OG but vlogging is kinda done to death now and yeah, it’s pretty much saturated and dead.
I never watched casey growing up, but now looking at it, I'll probably give his stuff a watch now 😅
this is so well made, and interesting. thanks!
🔥🔥🔥
Great video and of course very interesting as usual. Thanks man!!!

I am so fast that I am first 👍
Hello
I’m second :D
You call what he does storytelling? He’s just a manic on a glorified hamster wheel.
Aw, somebody needs a hug.
