Using the auto-pro pad to program a key to a 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 The key is different than a 21 and you can see the chip value isn’t the same. The key does look the same.
Bad key/chip is the worst and usually one of the last troubleshooting steps. Even worse is when the chip reads correctly, locks, but won't program. Hard reset won't fix. Check for fuses won't fix, and the absolute last thing is break out a new key, and it turns out thats it, after hour plus time
Any idea what it cost to have a new fob made? $500 for the computer to make one key is a bit much for me. I bought a used charger and it only came with one key. The dealer won’t make a second and says they charge too much he doesn’t recommend it. I didn’t think of it before I put the down payment on it. I have a key from my old 2018 charger and just bought a 2021.

Can you do it for my 2019 dodge ram bighorn truck too? One of the smart key fobs doesn’t work yet the light goes on so it isn’t a battery issue
