I have a 2016 Outlander Sport, came with the factory auto start. My car battery was going down, this the auto start wouldn’t work all the time. I replaced the cars battery but the auto start still will not work all the time. I have also replaced the batteries in my auto start remote. It does start once in a blue moon, if I’m standing right in front of my car. Any suggestions?

My moms key has been dead for 7 years. Whenever she comes to visit, it always comes up, and I always tell her to get it fixed. I even offered to pay for it. Finally i was able to convince her to call a dealership and they qouted $10 to replace the battery, but $300 to reprogram if it doesnt sync. I changed the battery myself, then was able to reprogam it in about 10min cause i found this video quick

Confirming the method works for a 2016 Toyota RAV4! Though my door locks did not power cycle. But I pressed the lock and unlock buttons as mentioned and it worked! Thanks a bunch!

Great instructional video. I used the same basic steps to program an extra OEM flip key for a 2015 USA (XM) Kia Sorento with my Xtool D8 "scanner". Took all of 2 minutes. FYI: I had the key cut at a local ACE hardware store. However, the first time an automatic cutter was used and it was botched on one side of the key. Apparently the stored profile was incorrect. He then used another cutter where he traced the other working key. That worked. I bought another key insert ("blade") replaced it real quick and had both sides done manually...and was reimbursed for the insert. Also, 2014 & 2015 Kias seem to be oddball years for certain parts. Keep in mind these ('14-'15) flip keys are not "Smart" keys and do not have an immobilizer chip. The programming being done by the scanner is kin to pairing a device to your phone.

The key in his left hand was the un- program key and the one in his right hand was the program key and when he demonstrated the process he used the one in his right hand the one that was already program and never try the other one

My Kia optima 2015 doesn’t have a ignition for the key to go in beside the steering wheel and I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find an ignition anywhere

i have a 2016 Corolla. i needed to reprogram 2 remote fobs. i followed the instructions and after i inserted the key into the ignition and turned on then off, i did not get any cycle. i continued with pressing the two buttons simultaneously and then the lock by itself, nothing happened. but the next morning, it worked (including the trunk). so today, i did the same with the second fob (again, no cycle). this time waited no more than 45 minutes to test it out. it also worked. i'm stoked. dealer wanted to charge $185 each to diagnose the problem (diagnose problem? IT DOES NOT LOCK/UNLOCK DOORS AND TRUNK) on top of how much to do the actual repair. total scam!

I haven't had any luck on my 2007 Yaris and an $8 Dankdey 3 Button 4D67 Chip HYQ12BBY 314.3Mhz Fob. I've tried several instructions, most are similar to this video ( Open Key I/O x2 Close Open Close Open Key I/O Close Open Close Open Key In Close Key On/Off/Remove * Hold Fob's Unlock/Lock (1.5sec) ** Hold Fob's Lock (2sec) ** ) * Some instructions say to do Key On/Off/On/Off/Remove... **Some instructions don't say to hold

I tried doing an all keys lost 15 BRZ not long ago and could not force the ignition on to get it into programming. My only option was to pull the module and write the bin file to a chip to force the ignition on.

Do these 2015 Optima’s have immobilizers in them? I have a scanner and can program the fob but the dealer says “I have to bring it in for programming” just wondering if that’s true or if they’re lying to me?

How can you program “the wrong fob” just got a 2013 tc and got only one fob from the seller. I tried this technique but it cycled twice after holding down the lock and unlock button and pressing the lock button after.
