You two are exactly what I look for in a knitting podcast - down-to-earth, approachable, sharing, and supportive of each other. I’ll look forward to all your episodes!
Awwww! Yay! And you are exactly why we are doing this! :)
Hello KIm & Jonna, it was so delightful to meet you at Vogue KNitting LIve, I'm Gail, the woman in the Japanese Knitting class with Kim. I wish you both continued success with your podcast, you are both so personable, and a pleasure to watch. XO
Hi Gail!
Sorry for the delayed reply. Wasn't that class amazing? I (Kim) learned so much that weekend. And it was so wonderful to meet you! :) Kim
Lovely In every way!
Beautiful friendship!
Fabulous yarn studio!
Thank you for all your inspiration 🎶🎶🎶🎶🦋🎶🦋🎶🎶🎶🎶
Thank you so much!
Rewatching all episodes- again from the beginning- this time taking notes 🗒- I’m a biiig note taker. Purl the sweet dog - looks like the same type that my local yarn shop had for many years - the sweetest gentle soul - guess big dogs make good yarn 🧶 🐕 dogs ❤️
Loved your first episode! You are naturals in front of the camera!
🥰 Thank you! I think we’re just natural together and luckily the camera captures that. ❤️
Starting at the beginning after finding you lovely ladies. What a refreshing & inspiring pair 🧶🙏🏻🇬🇧
Welcome!!
Love you girls! You make me smile!❤
Love Purl the beautiful shop doggy xx great name!!
Rewatching from the start😊Just great work you both do! So Inspiring!! Thank you!💜🤍
How refreshing, joyful, fun! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Love you orchid hair which matches your cardigan. Fun episode.
Kim and I are twins separated at birth. lol I learned to knit in Paris, in French, 36 years ago. Had to be taught to knit in English. Love this channel!!
It definitely seems like we're knit twins separated at birth. Haha! ~Kim
Beautiful knitting, I look forward to your episodes 😊 and yes danish musings, how gorgeous are her jumpers❤
Beyond!!
Just found you two. Like Kim I’m starting at the beginning. I love Fruity Knitting, too! I’m in Virginia and will share more later.
My friend told me about you ladies at knitting group. You're delightful and informative! Thanks so much!
Welcome!!
Your episode about Rhinebeck popped up on my UA-cam so I watched it and immediately was drawn in. I wanted to look at your other videos and started from the beginning. I appreciate your presentation and your relationship. I can relate to a lot of your experiences in knitting. Kim, like you, I have been knitting for decades and didn't knit anything for myself till years later. I am also a monogamous knitter. I don't alter anything except maybe the length. I haven't done any real color work because I don't feel confident enough (yes even after decades of knitting). Seeing your cardigan makes me want to knit it. But like you said the idea of purling color work scares me and steaking scares me, too. One of these days. Like Jonna, I love to knit socks and have knitted several and almost never us a pattern. Both of you are such an inspiration for me. Thank you for your podcast.
Welcome!! We're so glad you found us. Thank you for your lovely comment. 💕
I just found you guys and loved your 1st episode. You are so fun and refreshing with different projects and amazing yarns. The store is not too farcaway- I am on Long Island so it would be a fun day trip.
Thanks for your advice - I am a scary cat knitter -" I can't do that!" I want to do socks so badly. I will go to the designer you recommended and just start. I am crochet too but mostly blankets for my friends' babies. I just started a granny square afghan for my husband.
Now, to go and watch you from the beginning. Love the Orchid hair and love the puppies!! Thanks.
Hi! Sorry for our very delayed reply, but we're so happy you found us! And we hope you enjoy(ed?) our other videos. 🤣
If you ever do head to Pick Up Every Stitch, please let us know. We would love to meet you... ❤️K&J
Love you ladies! I started to watch your channel about a week ago, watched any episode that UA-cam suggested for me, and from today I decided to start from episode 1, makes more sense following your progress 😊
Love that! Welcome
Great episode 👍
Loved this......
As soon as I have the money, I am buying your t-shirt and sporting it every day at college. 😂
So sweet! If you have a sec, can you email us at ktogwkimandjonna@gmail.com?
Just came across your vlog. Absolutely love it. You guys make it real. Will definitely continue to watch as long as you continue to make. Love you guys.
Yay! We’re so happy you found us! ❤️ K&J
I'm a new viewer to your channel and you ladies are just wonderful and so inspiring, thank you! The dino sweater was such a surprise when you held it up, my mother knit one for my brother in the 80's and its awesome to see your version.
Hi Sharmen,
Welcome to our channel! And yes, that Dino sweater was very popular in the late 80s. Does your mother or brother still have his? ❤️ Kim
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna I’m not too sure, I will have to ask him. Can you imagine if he has it still?!
@@sharmenlacerte9715 That would be amazing! And if so, email us a pic. Would love to see it. ❤️ Kim
Love that I’ve found this channel!! I crotchet seasonally because I’m an avid gardener. This winter am determined to teach myself to knit, so I began looking at videos. This knitting community warms my heart and I feel an addiction brewing 😂❤
We are so excited for you! Knitting is all that and more!
Congratulation ladies....the hardest episode is out of the way! One of our viewers recommended your podcast and I enjoyed watching along while I was sewing ~ Kelly.
Yes! So happy we finally filmed that first episode. Especially after talking about it for over 2 years. And we’re so happy that one of your viewers recommended our channel! We’ll definitely check out your channel too. We love knitting while watching and listening to other makers. :)
I had stopped watching knitting videos for awhile now, but you folks are delightful and are helping me get my mojo back. I’ll be watching more, thanks!
Yay! We’re so happy you’re enjoying KTwK&J! And we all go through knitting slumps. Can’t wait to see what you create in the future…
❤️ K&J
I Just found you .... and what Awesome video!
Such a lovely episode! I just found you through the Its-a- Sarah channel and start to watch from the start and will be bingewatching all your episodes I guess 😅. So thoughtful that you ended with the memory of Andrew of Fruity Knitting 🙏🏼. Greetings from the Netherlands
So happy you found us! Sarah is just lovely!
I am starting at the Beginning 💙
Awwww... Yay! That's exactly what Kim does! We hope you enjoy them. ❤️ K&J
My granny made that exact same kids dino sweater for my brother in probably 1989!! My nieces have worn it since and it’s so cute.
She was an amazing knitter, she did argyle socks without any pattern well into her 90s…
😂 I guess it was a popular pattern back then. And WOW! Argyle socks without a pattern!?! That’s amazing! 🤩 ❤️ ~ Kim
Hi. Just found you and I am streaming the last six months. You two are great. I can relate on many things. Enjoyed watching all your podcast. Thank you. Damaris
Thank you so much for a wonderful first podcast! I heard about you from myak…and watched this episode to “meet you”. I’m a fan and will be looking forward to hearing all about your knitting adventures 😄🧶💗
Welcome!!
Stumbled upon your podcast and well, I'm hooked. You're upbeat, lots of smiles and laughter and great projects! Looking forward to the next one!
Yay!!! So happy you’re hooked! Jonna and I definitely have fun together and we could (obviously) sit around and talk about knitting for hours. 😂 What projects are you working on?
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Arnos & Carlos's little sweaters and I'm on my third Grace pillow sham: such a fun knit!
You guys are so comfortable to watch. I find myself talking to the tv. Love you
Haha! That's so funny! We're so happy you're enjoying our channel. :) K&J
I just found you! Starting from episode one! My new knit along podcast.
Yay! Kim always starts at Episode 1 when she finds a new podcast. We hope you like it. 😂❤️
You are both amazing. I am catching up on your past episodes but those sweaters are to die for! Kim the picture of your grandbabies made me smile so much, so very sweet and precious.
Thank you!
9/11/22. Episode 10 popped up today after I finished episode 5 of Knit and Wine, and I decided to watch it. Watched part of it, and decided I needed to watch from the beginning! So as today is a difficult day, I searched back to find episode 1, and I loved it. I look forward to binge watching, as Kim did with Fruity Knitting. I like starting at the beginning and following your progress. I’m not a monogamous knitter however….totally the opposite. I have a disease that I don’t think either of you have succumbed to, STARTITIS‼️. I love finding new patterns, new yarn, and beginning a new project. I could obviously accomplish more if I worked more toward sticking with a project and getting it done ✅
Kim and Jonna, you’ve made a lovely start in the podcasting world, and I look forward to binging on. Perhaps I will be encouraged to work on my many wips, some of which probably need to be frogged and started over cause I stopped when I had a big error…or something new grabbed my attention. Great first podcast, thanks 👏🏻👍🏻💛
Welcome!!! Thank you so much. We're glad you enjoyed our first episode...almost a year ago! Crazy.
How did I miss you a year ago? 🤣 I’m sure part of it comes from no longer having a LYS, and not having a regular gathering time for our Knitties to enable one another ‼️
Hi and THANK YOU! The gentlemen at Needles at the Ready mentioned your podcast on their recent episode. I just finished watching your first episode and was delighted. I burst out laughing at least a couple of times as you casually relayed your accomplishments as if 'no big deal,' but those of us that knit have mouths agape! The yarn shop is also just so beautiful.
Hi Stephanie! Thank YOU for watching our new little channel. And we love your "mouths agape" comment! So funny! But just keep knitting and all of it will eventually be (relatively) no big deal. Isn't it amazing though what two sticks and a ball of string can become?
Loved your podcast. You two have so much enthusiasm. Looking forward to seeing your future podcasts
If I start in January I might complete the 8 jumpers I would need for my grandchildren for next Christmas. I admire your discipline to stick to one project at a time. Love the podcast.
Do it! And it isn’t really discipline for me, that’s just how my brain works. One thing at a time. ~Kim ❤️
I just discovered your podcast, and am curious about where you two live/are located, especially when I saw the picture taken Mohonk. You two are delightful, and work so well together. I'm happy to find a podcast by two grandmas, a little closer to my age, than many of the knitting podcasters.
We both live in Westchester County, NY and we’re so happy you’re enjoying KTwK&J! ❤️
I just found your channel and I'm loving everything about it and you guys! And I'm starting at the beginning. 😉 I feel like we have a lot in common. I love the purple hair. Mine's purple too! And I currently have 5 grandkids (so far) and spend much of my knitting time knitting for them. I love all the grandkid sweaters! I've done a similar thing recently. And yeah, that yarn is scrumptious. I'm a sock knitter, but am knitting more sweaters. And I actually work at my LYS. Can't wait to watch more! 😁
Welcome!!
I love what Kim said about the mistakes and how we should keep going! I watched Nimble Needles (to learn the German Twisted Cast On that Jonna talked about in a later episode on the Rununculus sweater) and he mentioned something to the effect that we are not robots, these items are not machine knitted, mistakes are part of the process!
OMG, that brings me back, I made the same sweater for my kids too.😃
I just found your podcast, loving it. I’m like Kim, I’m starting with the first one.
You all showed up in my "new to you" feed on UA-cam (who knew there was such a grouping?) I loved Kim's hair and started to watch and then immediately went straight back and am binging all of the episodes. You two are delightful and talented knitters and a joy to stumble over. Lucky me. Thanks for sharing your talents with the rest of us.
Thank you SO much! We're so glad you are enjoying our episodes. Also glad that Kim's hair caught your eye. Welcome!!! Jonna
Saw your more recent podcast and decided to watch them from the beginning.
I’m so glad I found your podcast! Love how you share, recommend and inspire. I’m really looking forward to following you both on this podcast adventure.
Congrats ladies! Loved this episode, looking forward to many more!
Thank you so much! ❤️
Love it…😃💙🧡♥️💚, greetings from the Isle „San Miguel de La Palma“, nice Inspirations, thank you!
Thank you! And greetings from New York. Not as beautiful as San Miguel de La Palma, but that's where we live. Haha! ;) K&J
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna yesssssss, La Palma, the best place, and the volcano is finally silent! 😎

I’m so happy I ran across the two of you. I’m looking forward to #2 💖
We’re happy too! Episode #2 will air on Friday, December 3 at 10:00 am EST.
Oh my gosh, just saw this podcast! So excited to watch you! Jonna love your dress. Both of you are beautiful knitters. Just my style!
🥰 Thank you so much!
Great podcast! Love the learning aspect. Thank you!
I can’t believe that this is your first one. Great job! I will binge watch - in order ; )
Yay! And yes, but we did thing about it for almost 2 years before filming Episode 1. Haha!
Can't wait to hear what you think of our other videos...
:) K&J
Loving your Cape and cardigan, so pretty.
Hi you have made some beautiful garments I will be watching you play
So I watched yours in random order but believe there are no more after this! Love that LYS.
So happy that I stumbled upon your podcast. I love your format and your comfortable friendship.
Thank you and welcome!
Speaking of binge watching; that is what I am doing. I just found your podcast and look forward to watching from the beginning. Fruity Knitting was the first podcast I found, Then the Grocery Girls and The Bakery Bears ( I am a top tier Patron of theirs- also a hisband and wife team who make an outstanding professional podcast). Hello from New Brunswick, Canada.
Just found you and thoroughly enjoyed watching you both!!!
And now Kim is saying she's wearing only the 4th sweater she's ever made for herself? That's me too! This past year almost everything I'm making is for me and I love it!
Yes! And now it's so hard for me to stop knitting for myself and knit something for someone else. Oops!?! ~Kim
@@KnitTogetherwithKimJonna Are you kiddiing, Kim? We are just making up for lost time!
I'm definitely more like Kim, I like to watch from the very beginning and see the progression. So grateful that I found you ladies before you've posted 114 episodes! 😂
Haha!!
Thanks for the great close up pictures, really help! You are such cool grandmas!
I’m so happy you like the close up pics. It’s a bit more work, but makes such a huge difference! And thanks for thinking we’re cool grandmas. ❤️
Just found your channel and now going back and starting from episode one!!
Hello Kim and Jonna. Lovely to stumble across your new channel courtesy of the all-knowing UA-cam algorithms. I am interested in children’s knits having two new babies in my family so particularly enjoyed seeing your grandchildren’s sweater collection, Kim (beautifully photographed!.) And, Jonna, as I watched I was knitting the striped border of my Constant Companion - the Shawlography MKAL. I am also a huge fan of Fruity Knitting and felt such a terrible pang upon learning of Andrew’s death a few months ago. I thought you handled the somewhat awkward situation of acknowledging his death very well by adding the sweet tribute to Andrew at the end. Anyway, I think you two are off to a great start and I look forward to learning more from you both. Congratulations!
Hi Barbara!
Yay algorithms! And you will definitely see a lot more baby/children's knits on our channel as we both have already and will continue to knit for our grandchildren. As for Fruity Knitting and Andrew's death, we decided not to mention it during the video because most of their videos are happy and full of joy. We didn't want to overshadow all of that beauty with the tragic news of his passing. But of course, we did acknowledge it with the In Memory end screen. I still can't believe how much I miss him and I didn't even know him. I can't even imagine the grief and sorrow that Andrea and Madeleine (and Jack) experience every day. I'm so grateful that they are continuing with Fruity Knitting, but it must be so difficult...
~ Kim
You two are so wonderful im so glad I found you
I'm a newbie to knitting, learnt after Christmas by watching UA-cam and discovered your friendly gathering. I've completed scarfs, blankets. Next projects might be hair scrunched and dish cloths, can only do knit stitch at the moment, loving it.
Hi Kathryn,
You just learned how to knit a couple of months ago and you've already knitted multiple scarves and blankets? Wow! Impressive! You'll work your way up to purling and then sweaters in no time. ~K&J
Brava Kim and Jonna 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Very good job ladies thank you for great content and sharing your experiences. I,too, love Fruity Knitting,a really elegant presentation.
