WOW THAT SWATCH BAG! I am amazed at how it's simultaneously SO adorable, practical, AND resourceful! I almost always unravel my swatches but now I want to collect them too! That is a beautiful sweater that you knitted for your boyfriend!! I am currently planning to knit my boyfriend a sweater (first time garment knitting for someone else), and yesterday I showed him some yarns, colors, and patterns for his opinions... and he was fully getting overwhelmed with the options! Which of course is totally understandable, but I may need to just make an executive decision here 😂Loved seeing all your beautiful projects!

I hope you’re feeling better now 🫶 I can’t wait to see your colourwork sweater, the colour combination is gorgeous. I totally get the frustration about the yellow bit! And to be honest, I would try colour pooling it out. Especially when it is not a big colour work section 😊

I’ve asked the dyer about it actually and as I thought this is something that can happen in the natural dyeing process so I’m looking forward to knitting with it a lot ☺️ y’all embrace the natural look and if I do find it too much of a difference I also might think about swapping it out, but first I will be swatching in December hopefully!

if you do need to add length to your boyfriend sweater don’t undo the bind off. just pick up two rows of stitches above the ribbing, cut the yarn and then add the length you need. then you graft the ribbing back on! fruity knitting has a tutorial in one of their episodes

Just finished doing sweater surgery on my Zipper Sweater for my husband. Bound off last night just to realize that the body is too short and there’s no amount of blocking that will help. So I cut it open and will add the additional length to the body throughout this week.
Oh nooo!! You can be so proud of yourself for fixing something like this right away instead of waiting and growing frustrated with it 👏🏼😊
