It looks gorgeous on that wood plank and those splits! Most of my climbers are on moss poles but I’m loving the idea of changing things up and using wood planks next time I pot up climbing plants. Thank you!
Or go to your local river and find a nice piece of drift wood that you fix up onto your wall, so your plant can have a "natural tree" like looking branch to climb up. I've done that in my living room and it looks stunning with that branch all the way up to the ceiling! :D

Hi Logees. I would love to know one thing you just didn't mention at the end of the video :D When you cut the top end, the mature end of your plant down and replant it in another pot, whtat's gonna happen? I mean, the new grow will start over small again, right? But, since you started with a mature plant, will the new leaves be like half the size of a mature leave, thus the new plant, as it climbs up again, grow into an overall mature plant quicker? I'm asking for my melanochrysum. It's young now, but of course on pinterest I've seen so nice mature specimens with four huge leaves. It seems to me like those have been mature top cuttings replanted into a nice large pot. How would those plants continue to grow? Thanks for your amazing video! I didn't know that a cebu blue matures that quick! I thought it would take years for it to climb up before it will develop those stunning mature leaves... :D Regards from Germany
Kerstin Mengewein The cutting wil stay mature and you wil have those big leafs now growing from the bottom of the potplant, i ve done this with Philodendron and with Monstera and they look then like an entirely different plant. Grusse von Holland!

if a plant has much larger more mature leaves up top and thats cut for propagation will the mother plants new top growth be more mature like what was cut off or will it be smaller like the lower leaves. I want to clip my melanochrysum as its getting to tall and the new leaves are getting larger as I wanted but I don't want the mother plant to be putting out smaller leaver forever. Does that make sense? I want the mother plant ot eventually put out mature leaves but not have to keep super tall to do so.
I never thought about using a board of wood like that. Looks great - I think I'll try this out.
Thanks for answering what we should do after it outgrow it’s stake! That has alway been what’s stopping me to stake my plants. I wasn’t sure where would be a good place to trim when it’s stuck like that. Thanks for the advice!

You may be confused. What part of the plant are you thinking was in soil aside from the roots that only and always belong in soil? The roots are in the soil. The roots take up the water. You don’t water anything other than the roots in the soil in a typical planter set up. No?
@@TKEsweetheart24 there are quite a few moss pole videos where they spray or “water” the moss pole to encourage the aerial roots to attach. May have been what they were referring to. I’m new to aroids and had the same question.

I used a dead cedar branch from our property that my husband split in half on my monstera. I propagated from that monstera so now I’m going to try the flat board on my new baby and see what happens. 👍For my cebu blue that I purchased in a full hanging basket I potted up in terracotta and used two u shaped bamboo stakes tied on the top center . That cebu blue went up and down and grew like crazy, but the leaves are not nearly as large and I don’t have any split leaves so I’m going to be pruning it and trying this method ...🤞 of course I don’t live in a greenhouse but I can hope. I have propagated that cebu blue from single leaf and also from nodes w/o leaves and it’s amazing! I have some super tiny leaves from stick props but my single leaves are now producing move leaves...💕 that plant! Thank you for putting out another great video!

this videos amazing. my orange tree is very hurt. i bought from you guys in august and its fruiting alot! the plant is dropping leaves and still fruiting and putting new growth. its curling leaves too! may i return the plant for a cheaper plant or no returns? also its the calamondin orange

RE: Your Orange Tree - You can try a few things. Tap the plant out of the pot and make sure the root system is still good. The roots should be white and fleshy, if you see brown brittle roots, it may be dying. Be sure to plant in clay and dry out between waterings. Citrus do not like to be left in cold wet soil. my only worry is that with a pot that large, the small plant will rot. Also, in a home, i would be scared that board being too heavy and knocking the pot over.

Yes, absolutely. In our greenhouses, we have Monsteras growing up trunks of trees, just attaching itself with its roots.
Wouldn’t it be easier to use a PVC tubes wrapped with a piece of felt. You can just use a connector to lengthen the pole once the plant reaches the top. Just DIY the footing a bit so the pole can stand straight and securely in the pot.

What wood do you recommend for the board? Would weather treated work?
I’ve used wood from my backyard. Any wood, the more texture the Better would work. (So the plant can get a better grip)

Nope. I have a huge pothos on a wooden stake and they just attach to the wood.
