    Hi Tony
Really enjoyed meeting you at the Swindon Bonsai show this year and it was a great opportunity to see some of your pots. I have made a few more pots since then and am about to do another coil build, so just refreshing my memory. All the best.

Good example of the real work involved in making a bonsai pot, no fancy editing or music. I love the use of the paint scraper tool. Beautiful pot.

Well Done Sir, Will this pot withstand severe freezing here in Canada? The style suits our rugged nature for sure. Thanks Tony!

If it survives all the stages it has to go through I will make a short vid and tag it onto the end of this one.

Thank you so much for such a detailed tutorial.
how many years have you been doing this? Do you do anything other than bonsai pots?

Hi Alexi I’ve been potting for 47 years or so. I trained as a domestic potter making household pottery tea pots, plates mug jugs that sort of stuff. I’ve been a bonsai potter for 15 of those years.

@@tonyremington3607 Oh my god)) It's a great great experience. It's really cool that you share your experience so easily. I have never done pottery but would like to make a bonsai pot. Perhaps this is what I could do the rest of my life - I need to check it out. What shape and size would you recommend to start with?

    • @tonyremington3607

Start with something not too big and not too complicated a shape, good luck with it.

Great video teacher, is this brown liquid that you apply with a brush, is it a clayey liquid with water?

Yes it’s a slurry made from the same clay I used to build the pot it works as an adhesive.
