Humminbird Helix, If You Know, You Know, Important Operational Tips
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 вер 2024
- Show season is here and I see Humminbird Helix users who are new or inexperienced struggle with some operational issues. Anglers who have purchased a used Helix may not have a manual. Manuals are available on the Humminbird website. Despite manual availability, there are anglers who don’t read manuals but prefer to watch videos. This video will help anglers learn the importance of this symbol on their Helix unit. Anglers who get confused with active panes will struggle with potential operational issues. After watching this video, you may discover an “Aha” moment where you realize how some anglers, possibly yourself, get into issues where user error contributes to perceived Humminbird “No fish arches” or “My map isn’t working” problems.
For those anglers who want to watch my Zoom In, Zoom Out video on how to use the +,- keys, here’s the link below

Been using Humminbird all my life, yet I learn something on each of your videos
Thanks for the kind words, they are much appreciated!
I was trying to figure out what that box was for. Now I know . Thanks a million
My pleasure, glad it helped.
Definitely an ahha moment. Your tutorials are always more than helpful, thank you!
Thanks I was hoping some people would have some “aha” moments because we don’t forget those.
Thanks for adding a thoughtful comment.
Nice to know! Thanks for the tip. I am still building my boat, so I have not yet used my Helix. But I am learning a bunch of stuff with your videos.
Awesome, that’s great to hear Dave. I always appreciate knowing my videos are helpful, but thank you for letting me know.
Steve it seems I have to relearn my unit every year 😅 I always turn to you. Thanks
Thanks Eric, sometimes I have to go back and look at a video too if I haven’t done an install recently 😊.
Thank u Bro I purchased the Hummingbird 9si+G4N so this is really helpful Thanks
Thanks for letting me know it was helpful, comments are always welcome and appreciated.
Great video….never would’ve figured this out without this tutorial. Just purchased the 360. Never used it yet. Much appreciated!
Scott, check out my Mega 360 Settings and Images video, you will find it quite helpful. Thanks for sharing your kind comments.
Nice to know! Thanks for the tip.
Thank you again for your feedback on my videos. I certainly appreciate the kind comments and constructive criticism when I deserve it. I wanted to let you know that I deleted my Terrova and Ulterra combined video and I am separating the Ulterra brushed and Quest into one video and then I will redo the Terrova video. It is the first time I have deleted a UA-cam video. It was the right choice and just know that I appreciate you. You are kind with your comments yet willing to share constructive criticism when needed. Thanks again.
Steve, very informative video. Do you ever watch your videos afterwards. I think I may have commented to this issue before. Your audio is up loud at times and then it just fades away and can hardly hear you even though my audio is set for 100% and my little button under the video is pulled to loudest setting. You may require a different microphone to compensate for distance when recording.
Brian thanks for the kind comment, much appreciated. I do a few voiceovers but when I play them back they sound find. I don’t recall anyone else commenting on the sound quality of my videos.
Hello, thanks you for your tips.
Do you have some new tips under 100m for Best views and setup with 2D/SI/DI.
Best regards
Thanks Alix, yes I have in depth tutorial type videos on 2D, DI (my most popular video with 150000+ views), SI, M360, MegaLive Settings and Images. These longer version tutorial videos are the strength of my channel. Hope you enjoy them, please let me know what you think of these videos.
When will the new HUMMINBIRD HELIX G5 be released
That information is not to available to me so I can’t help you with that question.
It's kind of like using the wrong remote to manage your TV.
Effective analogy Hugh 👍
