For those wondering how the rear driveline works: Instead of a pass through axle (Like you can see me build from a Ford 9in diff on my channel) they are using a dual rear output transfer case. Basically 2 drive shafts go to the rear instead of one. The shaft for the rear most axle is a 2 piece that joins through a pillow block type support bearing offset on the front most rear axle. If you pause the video where they show the transfer case you will see there are 2 shafts coming out and going to the rear instead of just one. The other interesting thing about doing a dual rear output transfer case is when it is shifted to what would normally be 2wd..... it actually is 2 wheel drive as the front drive shaft is mated to one of the rear axles. Basically you have 2x6 (when in 2wd) and 6x6 (in what was previously 4wd). If you guys ever want to build a smaller/lighter 6x6 let me know and ill build you a custom pass through!
Pretty cool… your work is quality… 👍👍 you said there was 4 winches… but did not show them? Front… Rear? Left ? Right? Why 4? What comes next? A camper ? Do you know why they did 6x6? I’m would guess being a 550 it has plenty of payload? Better departure angle? Lots of mud driving? Thank you… I been thinking about something like this… thx
Thank you! We did glance over the other 2 winches, but there is a front & rear winch, one on the headache rack to pull large game or heavy things into the bed, and the fourth inside the garage to pull the tire in and out of the storage box. Customer said no camper on this one, but with the 5th wheel hitch I expect it to pull trailers instead. It's going back to the east coast so likely lots of mud and extended hunting trips for this rig!
Unless a customer gives us permission to go use their vehicle on trail, these are all builds that are going straight to their new home after we film our videos
@JuniperOverland that's what is the real 4x4 world problem. Companies like u just take massive amount and BUILD. those buyers never test, and fools keep placing new ORDERS just coz of ur cameraman

Thanks for responding… have a good weekend
Hunting rig!? I thought this was for a construction crew at first. Awesome build tho.
Safe to say this thing can handle any task you throw at it! Aside from maybe parallel parking lol
Guys build is not enough. Test it and show ud the TEST VIDEOS ❤

What front rear axle did you use to make it 6x6 ?
The 6x6 conversion was done by another local shop so we're not too sure!
@ looking at the video. The rear axle is a dummy so makes it a 6X4.
