Ha ha they didn't it's ' undisclosed for warranty due to " owner installed product" you need to splice and cut and shrink wrap.and use dielectric connections for a no issue installation
I had a shop hardwire mine yesterday and its only working when the lights are turned off does anyone know what might be preventing it from working when the lights are turned on?
I just wired to my 2019 Ranger with BLIS and trailer package. You need to wire all of the lights to the tail lights, not the trailer harness. All works except brake light. I think I need to change which wire I have it connected to in order for it to work
@@MikeAbbott65 Which are the correct wires to connect to. I'm having issues with the trailer harness and want to wire it to the tail lights. Thank you for posting.
@@mikemorales5137 I’m not sure because it’s no longer working properly. Initially, the turn signals and reverse lights worked, but now only turn signals work. The white wire is still connected to reverse wire, but no longer works. Sorry I couldn’t help more
What about the red wire or power of that’s what yuh call it ??? I bought one and connected everything how said but my reverse light stays on all the time won’t turn off idk if it’s wrong
hey buddy, thanks for the video. just made everything looks simple. I have a 2018 F150 i installed the LED tail light already yesterday, everything work as it should. my problem now is that i get notifications all the time on my dash board whenever i press on or off the gas pedal saying trailer connected/not connected any idea whats causing it?
@@HuyTran-gu3il i got it fix! all i had to do was connect them into the tail laights and it should work. that's how i did mine. and no more annoying notifications.
These instructions ARE TERRIBLE. First by cutting the wires THERE GOES YOUR WARRANTY and if you have BACK-UP CAMERA and TRAILER ASSIST ... JUST RUINED IT!!!
Do not connect to the trailer wiring harness if you have trailer assist and/or BLISS ! In that case you have to hardwire to the Tail Lights Assemblies.
JL Pirotte so the best bet is to run the wiring directly to either tail light and tap into those wires, will doing this give me any error codes on my dash display? I have a 2018 f150.
2021 ford ranger xlt with no tow package but i do have camera back up and trailer assist. You need to hard wire into driver and passenger side splice wiring make sure you have 2 people and a voltage meter
I installed my light bar ran the wires fastened connected all nice and hud and installed .....DO NOT CONNECT TO YOUR 4PIN FACTORY .... your going to end up with ghost lighting issues throughout your entire truck
I take out my key get out of my truck hit the lock button and my sync screen turns on or. My Dash board stays illuminate or my surroundings markers don't turn off even my cab light and rear cargo light never turn off
For anyone disliking the start stop feature , I just installed my light hard wired on my 2019 f-150 , now the start stop feature is disabled stating on the display " trailer connected " , I'm ok with this as I dislike the feature , I was going to perches the delete plug but now I don't need to ! Very satisfied
Are this the same wiring for 2016 ford f150 platinum trim??🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Does the truck always say a trailer is connected wiring that way?
How did you weather proof the t connectors?
More than likely just left them the way they are or wrapped them with electrical tape.

NEVER use scotch locks for wiring anything being a electrician is the worst thing you can do in wiring.
Would posi taps work for this as well?
ID WIRE IT UP FIRST, DON'T GO TO THE PLUG SAYS U HAVE A TRAILER AND SCREWS UP YOUR BACK UP CAMERA i HAVE A 2020
How did u wire it. SAme way. I’m having that issue w 2020 Ranger. Thinks I have a trailer when pin connector is in

What size led bar will fit the Ford Ranger wildtrak .Thanks
Kris Wia most come in 60” or 48”. I’m guessing 48” is needed for ranger. Go measure from inside of one tail light to inside the other tail light.
Dude I have this light set up and the only thing I hate is the reverse light it looks too Christmasie

Some won't work with Fords BLISS system.
Team Opalla u just ran the wires to one tail light and tapped in or did you have to run to both tail lights so that the bar worked with both blinkers?
so now my autostop feature and back up assist are disabled because my 2017 thinks there is a trailer back there.....
Did you hardwire it?

Bet u they scratched the paint on that tailgate by sliding it on that carpet 🤦🏻♂️
I cringed when they did that... why not leave the material on it, and sit the inner part on the bed. Protected for a reason

Is there a wiring diagram we could use to be sure of the colors?

Mud Slinger does this cause a error to pop up when starting the truck that requires you to press the “OK” button everytime?
