Thanx for the detailed wiring lesson! The best i've seen so far! Ready to wire my light bar up now. Too bad Ford is an electronics disaster unlike Chevy/GMC, Toyota and Ram
I installed an LED light bar on my previous F-150 (2014), but when wiring it up, I just connected it directly to the back of my 7-pin trailer connector to avoid the hassle of running a single wire from the right side of the vehicle. However, now I'm going to install one on my 2019 Lariat, and I may just follow your suggestions. Thanks for the video.
Nice light bar. Only question I have is couldn’t you have tapped into the 7 wire trailer harness under the bumper instead of tapping into both of the taillights?
Hello. Yes, but that would usually either throw a code or mess up with the back up camera because the computer would think that I have a trailer connected and it would shut off the back up camera. Thanks for watching :)
I have the same lightbar and installed it this way but the brake lights don’t seem to go on when hitting the brake, only the running light stays on?? Which wire is the brake wire on the lightbar and where do I hook that into
Did you ever figure it out? It could help alot of people. As this guy is clearly hear just for the views. Don't care to answer comments to hell the viewers.
I did the same thing on my 2020 stx and now my dash cluster changes to trailer miles traveled every time i start up my truck. No issues with the camera or lights on mine and i have the auto stop deactivated with a superchips flash cal.
I did this exactly how it was shown and nothing works. Zero. I have a NiLight LED Tailgate Light Strip from Amazon. I worked when I plugged it into the towing plug, but not when I hardwired it. HELP!!!
I had the same issue it works good when you have the lights turned on. But during the day it doesn't work being that the lights are off having them on auto
I used the connector under the truck where both tail lights meet and you don't have to cut any wires or remove the taillights. You can see what I did here. ua-cam.com/video/yxzcnvDBBpE/v-deo.html

Have you had any issues with your tail lights and the BLIS System? I hardwired mine and it made my taillights malfunction and not even work.
I guess he isn't here to help the viewers.

Is this the same as the 2021

Where can I purchase those tail lights? My 2019 doesn't have led.
Mine came with the truck. My truck is 2020 Lariat. I am not sure what model you have but XLT does not come with the LED lights.
Why wouldn’t you use heat shrink instead of electrical tape. Here where I live we get a lot of highway salt.

The whole light strip failed and won't light up. Giving this another try with a new Light Strip from Amazon.
