I just bought a 2022 forerunner SR5. It currently has 20 inch rims, which I hate. What is the best offset rim and tire package I can get for keeping it stock with no rubbing?
what would you say is the best lift to give a 4runner for those who want a higher lift while both staying safe and within the cars ability to maneuver?
In the first 4Runner why were the spacers bigger in the front than the rear? And were the Trd wheels needed for this setup to work or could’ve been done with the oem wheels?
Hey qucik question can I fit 285/70/17 on TRD pros on a 2016 SR5? I do have a spacer lift and wheel adpators on it now so the 265 stick out pass the wheel wells just to give it a more aggressive look...
Probably. Depends on the tire brand. I have 2" leveling kit sitting on bfg ko2s 275/70/17. 2019 trd or. Had to get spidertrax spacers because the front tire were rubbing the UCAs. Then that caused the tires to rub the mud flaps and front. After trimming and moding the flaps, its done. Many videos how to do it. Was it worth it!!?? Yes.
@@pekanpi434 with 2.5 inch front, 2 inch rear 265/70/17 Wildpeak AT3's (non LT) should fit with zero problem or rub right? It seems to be when you go to 275 or 285
Well... gotta say my ‘14 trail rubbed like crazy with an icon stage 3 lift, Scs Ray 10 wheels, and 285/75/17 BFG KM3’s. Had to do a BMC and some trimming of the front bumper.
285/75R17 are 34 inch tires not 33s and those SCS wheels have negative offset, so yeah they are gonna rub. 285/70R17 (33 inch) and 0 offset wheels almost always won't rub.
It’s not recommended on the actual specs but tons of people run them and wheel with the trd sema wheels with 285s. The issue is a lot of the big tire chains won’t install it but It’s not hard to find somebody to mount them just like this shop but it is perfectly fine and I’ve never heard anything happening
YES Sir. IT DOES! - Have this problem right now! you don't even need a FULL turn backing up, I got LT285/70R/17 nitto ridge grappler, now I need to figure out what to do. I have seen a few videos, but still nothing super clear besides removing mud-flaps trimming front bumper and pulling fender liner forward.
SilverFox do you have adjustable upper control arms? I was advised by toytec that I won’t need to do anything except move the liner forwards as long as I get the UCAs
Man bfg really nailed it outta the park with the ko2. Not only the performance on and off road but the design. They just look better than any other all terrain tire out there along with the hybrid style nitro ridge grapplers, the all terrain terra grapplers that come with the trd pro I’m not a fan of. The ko2’s look right at home on 4runners and Tacoma’s.
@@LaoTseDen11 I am planning to put fox shocks coil over 2.5 front and rear. do you have any idea if they still rub on 285,70,17 tires with trd matte black wheels? how much lift do i need to put?

I am in a 2019 Limited with 3" spacer lift + front UCA for proper alignment with the XP wheels 20x9+18 and had to stick to 265/60-20 Cooper Descover AT3 XLTs ( at 32.5) to have no rubbing on the fender liner forward of the tire at full lock. Granted I could have gone with a 33" and moved the fender liner forward but got a much better price on the 32.5"
They are using BF Goodrich K02's size 285/70r/17 (This is a 33in tire and requires at least a 2.5" lift to prevent wheel rub, unless you want to shave/cut/modify your vehicle)
I'm planning to go pizza cutters as well on my 2021 5th gen trd off road. I don't like the 285 wide tires that most folks install, too much width there.
Watching the employee lift 75lbs. of tire and wheel over his head to mount it was so cringe worthy. The vehicle is on a lift! Just lower it. Work smarter, not harder.

KXNG LEX 1981 he says +01 mm. I commented to try to verify this as well. Idk if I need -12 or +01??

Wasted my time watching this vid. Doesnt explain why doesnt rub the tires in front. Smh!
Did you guys have to cut anything on the white 4th gen runner so the front tires wouldnt rub? thanks!
The first 4runner on the matte black trd pro rims where the tires 285 and did they rub?
How big was the 4th gen 4runners lift? 3inches?
Really cool! I was wondering how much does this cost in total. I want to do this on my 4Runner

The wheel spacers might make it rub as they increase the negative offset and scrub radius
Do these lifts damage the vehicles angles, universal joints, ball joints, etc. Just curious?
Yes unless they added proper upper control arms to change the alignment of everything.
Do you add wheel spacers as well with the lifts or no?
second runner went with the real deal lift. good for him.
What are the downsides of spacers?
how much did these cost?
Does 265/70/r17 tires on 17x8 15 mm offset will rub on stock suspension, no lift 2021 4runner limited?
What are the Fox part numbers on the rear shocks and front coil overs on the white 4th gen.
I did not know you could get that much lift using only spacers
So simple So clean 👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
Do you ever use P metric on your 4runner upgrades ? Or are all tires shown LT tires ?
You didn’t have to do a body mount chop on the 4th gen?

FN makes FX Pro which is a TRD rep

If you go with a negative offset wheel, especially in the -30s, be prepared to do modifications to the body mounts or even a mount relocation.
