Wrong corruption is a sociological problem and you have to ask why something is to find the solution. Saying "they're bad because they're corrupt people" is not a solution nor will it ever solve anything. Police extort because their wages are low, increase of wages doesn't completely exterminate extortion or the acceptance of bribes but it will reduce them significantly. Do you hear of police extortion in an any country where the police are compensated properly?

There are highly intelligent unemployed University graduates in Nigeria who should be trained as police officers instead of all these stark illiterate monsters in uniform. Most importantly,there must be severe purnishments for erring officers,including their direct bosses who normally send them out to go for extortions,which must include death penalties. No police unit extorts without the knowledge of their supervisors who always cover them up. And,most of the supervisors in turn have some ogas at the top whom they settle for protections too.The whole system is messed up from the top to bottom.

I'm sorry but I feel like this meeting was pointless and Davido was used as a scapegoat. They're basically telling him.. go and tell your youths we've "disbanded" SARS so tell them to stop protesting but they're truly not going to do anything, that is why he wasn't able to give a timeframe on when the actions spoken about will come into effect. That was a good meeting, they should have added the part that deals with passion for the job so as to deliver the services to the people adequately.
Davido is a man of the people. I don't know if other people are satisfied with the outcome of this meeting, but I am not.
Yet we will have to give the police a benefit of the doubt and give them some time to work it out. The reorientation, and reviewed remuneration of the police personnel are the most progressive steps in dealing with police conduct.
Police officers have to understand what it means to serve the public. SERVICE not intimidation. This meeting has to hold again and we need more people who can be attentive and ask critical questions. The video has been edited and is therefore not good enough. The next meeting should not be edited. This is a matter of life and and security and it is not a laughing matter; it is not something that should be done for fun or any form of entertainment. I love you Davido and big shout out to your wonderful team.

I commend Davido for taking a bold step in meeting with the IGP. It is a step in the right direction. We need more politicians and Pastor to take the lead, for a peaceful Nigeria that works for everyone.

Its time for elders and leaders of our great country to listen to the voices of the youths and bond with them as parents to explain situations before it gets into anarchy situations in the country.
