Those he said that ask for their share should also be dismissed.

Absolutely that important point he made is the main reason why corruption in our Police is extremely difficult to eradicate. There are good ones among them agreed but they need to purge at least 70% of the entire police force and start from the scratch. As much as it sounds like a harsh solution unfortunately that is the only way out. Some terrible situations require terrible solutions like in this case. It's so scary having to rely on our police to for protection.

Corruption is everywhere, even in the most developed countries. You cannot be taking bribe with such impunity. The impunity is what we are fighting. It is impunity, that made people like Gbajabiamila thinks it's OK to post a picture of himself taking lectures at Havard, while ASUU is on strike. Nobody said fighting corruption will be easy, but this is a step in the right direction.

I have contributed to similar issues on you channel. This kind of dismissal is a show of shame and playing to the gallery.
You don't dismiss a man who knows how to use arms and ammunition into the society because he committed an extortionate offence.
My approach would be to demote him by one level, send him to the House of a commissioner of police where he would serve as a gate man and domestic assistant.
