Hi Moss! In general, that is the case, however, it depends on the reason for considering stopping the medication. For example sometimes the medication donepezil can decrease a person's appetite, and instead of stopping it completely, I usually cut the dose in half, and in most cases, that is enough. However, sometimes donepezil can cause falls, even at half dose, so in that case, I will stop it completely. So it really depends on the particular situation.
