I would consider myself a flashy guitarist and I have NEVER underestimated Mr. Buckingham's genius as a guitarist. Back in the day he did actually get some love from the guitar mags and from guitarists. As I have grown older, I appreciate his talent even more. I don't think he gets enough credit with mainstream pop culture. In musical circles, at least the ones I hang in, he is very much appreciated for his contributions as both a guitarist AND a songwriter.

The British Invasion in 64 started decades of great radio...peaked in 83...slowly died during the 90's. By 2000, the radio was pretty much over. Sure there's a song or 2 that's good but it's not a steady flow of great music like before. Ticktock (not TikTok) radio has a great feature that plays songs from one year at a time...with great depth.

Fleetwood Mac would never have become the band it became without Lindsey Buckingham, no chance. He was the driving force behind their best music. Just look at the band before him and then after him. But, it's also true that he achieved more with them than without. It was a creative friction that all made them better than they would have been otherwise, like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Who and many other legendary bands.

Lindsey, your music has always been the soundtrack to my life since I was a little girl growing up in Chippawa, a little village offshoot of Niagara falls Canada. I saw Fleetwood Mac perform in Buffalo in 2015. It was like a spiritual experience for me. I got goosebumps when you all came onstage and started playing. I am now 58 and everywhere I go I still hear your music playing at some point in the background. It comes on every time I get the car or go to a part, restaurant, shopping, literally everywhere. My grandkids even know your music because I play it around them. We went to a wedding this month and I danced with my grandkids to FM songs. I’m writing a book called Malice In Wonderland about my life growing up in a doomsday cult in the 70s and if it’s ever made into a movie, FM is my first choice for the soundtrack. Your music has gotten me through some really tough times. Thank you for recording your brilliant gift for all eternity. 💜❤️💜

So the 1985 MTV Music Awards popped up on my FB today and I said to myself alright ill watch it later off UA-cam (cause I love 80’s stuff) and 30mins in they are doing the award for Most Experimental Video (and just quietly Lindsey had 2 songs nominated in this category) and obviously this song pops up for 5 seconds and I’m Like Oh yeah, that’s the guy from Fleetwood Mac//Big Love//The Dennis Reynolds look alike (I love its always sunny in philly and think Dennis (Glenn Howerton) would kill it if he did a Lindsey Buckingham song) anyway within that 5 second music clip I’m like go and listen to that track on UA-cam cause that sounded sick… Now let me say I know a lot of 80s music But this one slipped thru my fingers but OMG am I fkn loving it right now, I’ve played it 5 times in a row… Well Done Lindsey Buckingham, I have now moved you from my previous knowledge of that guy from Fleetwood mac and Big Love (which fk me dead does he destroy live - its so good lol its giving me goosebumps thinking about it) to now realizing I’ve Been Late to the Party But I’m Here Now Lindsey… Im Here!! And Im Loving It So I Go Insane Like I Always DO!!!
